Hi, sorry but it's not really feasable to have a thread listing certain types of comps. This has been suggested before for other items and sadly just would not work.

Photo comps are few and far between which is why you won't really be able to search for them. Although a key word search of 'photo' will bring up some.

As ikkle says - it isn't practical to have a thread for these type of comps, they are all individually posted on the board.

Most comps listed requiring photo submission will say in the title 'upload photo' or 'photo req'

This should really be in discussions - I'll req a move.

I did competitions years ago and gave it up, I recently started back again last week and was very lucky to win on the pepsi nokia comp.
There's something I always and still wonder about though and was hoping I could tap into your knowledge, opinions and thoughts on it. It's probably been asked a 101 times already though, so sorry if I just made it 102.

If a computer is used to pick a competition entry, does it save/colate the entries in alphabetical order?
Does anyone know if they do but only surname or by both christian and surname?
Why I wondered was if your name was the very first name on the list or the very last on the computers list(mine wouldn't be on either count) but if it were you'd be so much more unlikely to win surely.
The chances of that computer stopping randomly on the first name or last would be absolutely miniscule I would have thought.
So if your name for example was Aaron Aarons or Zachary Zebbadee, do you think they would have a much less chance of winning the competition than say someone called Melanie Mumbles?

As I say I've always wondered about this and would love to know your thoughts and ideas.

hi hun i think they tend to be assigned a number and then picked using random.org, so have an equal chance

Question about monthly comps. Im slowly working my way through them. If i sign up for newsletters does that mean that i am entered automatically every month or do i have to subscibe each month.

Apologies if this seems a bit random but loads of people have asked how old you have to be to enter the comps on Refresh, seeing as it's a site for teens? They've finally put some terms up so I'm posting them here in case they disappear again :rolleyes::D HTH x

Competition Rules

• These rules exist in addition to any instructions set out in the terms of individual competitions. By entering Refresh competitions the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and instructions and to be bound by them.
• Unless otherwise specified, competitions, prize draws and other promotions are limited to one entry per person.
• Only entries that comply with the competition questions and these rules will be considered. If competitions include compulsory questions, only entries that answer these questions will be considered.
• The competitions are only open to legal UK residents unless otherwise stated. Entrants under the age of 16 must obtain parental permission before entering.
• No employees or relations of Refresh are eligible to enter. Any entries from such parties will be rejected.
• Any entry which is incomplete, illegible, late or otherwise does not comply with the rules may be deemed invalid in the sole discretion of the promoter.
• The promoter's decision on all matters affecting this competition is final and legally binding.
• No correspondence will be entered into.
• The odds of winning any competition, prize draw or other promotion will change according to the number of entries, or other factors.
• Entries made by brute force attack or other automatic submission programs will be disqualified. The promoters will disqualify any entries deemed to be linked to the illegal entry.
• The competitions are subject to prize availability.
• Prizes will be sent via first class post.
• If you win a competition, you agree to us using your name, likeness and biographical details as publicity for this or future promotions.
• All winners will be contacted by email unless otherwise stated, so please make sure your email address is correct. Failure to respond within 10 working days will result in the selection of another winner.
• The organiser reserves the right to change the prize allocation at any time without prior notice if they deem this to be necessary.
• Prizes are supplied on the express condition that they are not sold or hired.
• Entrants release the promoter and their agents from any claim of injury, loss or damage relating to the winning or otherwise of a Refresh competition.

Can i have some advice please. I got a wem on 30th june from pick me up magazine. I havent received my prize yet.

Do i wait abit longer or email them.
