Just wondered if anyone prints their own postage for postal comps?

And, if so, how does it work because I looked at it online and, to be frank, it all looks like witchcraft to me :rotfl:

It seems like a wonderful idea - is it??

hi - Can anyone help please...I arrange the competitions to appear in order of when they were added....but often, when I refresh the page, a load more appear part way down...so I can never be absolutely sure I've entered them all....why is it doing that??!

How can I make it not do that?

Please?/

hi, think the reason that happens is because when an old comp gets 'bumped' it pushes it back up to the top, so the new ones are halfway down again, i keep checking for where i've thanked the op for the comp, i find it's the easiest way to keep track of the one's you've entered, hth x

If you Subscribe each time you enter a competition then you get a little tick next to it. You can always see whether you've entered or not. I also subscribe if I've looked at a comp and decided I'm not interested because it saves me forgetting that I wasn't interested and opening it up again

if you sort via thread start time when you refresh because new comps have been posted all the other comps will step back. EG if I post a comp and its the 1st comp on page 1 sorted via start time, and you open that comp and enter it but in the mean time someone posts 5 more comps then when you refresh my comp will now be in place 6. If new comps appear just start from there and work your way up

if youve sorted via thread start time, bumping doesnt affect them.

Hi,

When you say they appear part of the way down, are all the ones above them the sticky's on the front page or comps you have entered?

Thanks all....I understand now! I am now properly sorting by new entries only which seems to clear things up.

I have also started thanking people using the button, so I can see that..

I am intrigued about lilias' post though where you 'subscribe' and get a tick on that comp....I will have to look into this...as would be much easier if i could see I'd entered something (or not wanted to) on the front page rather than having to check if I've thanked someone or not, or just remember the comp details
