Hi all.
Can i have some advice please. I got a wem on 30th june from pick me up magazine. I havent received my prize yet.
Do i wait abit longer or email them.
Thanks:j
I personally would wait til next week, they generally say allow 28 days for prize delivery and I normally wait about 5 weeks or so at least before chasing prize:DWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
Can anyone help.
Prize not arrived . I know they are only small prizes my son won, but it still should have come. He still has the email from 5th March saying he'd won tickets, Special edition T shirt and Cd, he has emailed them 4 times with no reply. Where do we report this or is it not worth it.
Any advice would be greatNo. 556 :Cash, HDTV won, PS3

7 What happens if my prize doesn’t turn up?
This is going to be individual to each comp. Usually it will state in the T & C for each comp how long it should take for the prizes to be dispatched to winners. As a general rule though or in the absence of any particular details in the T & C, allow 28 days, (allow more if we are experiencing postal strikes or extreme weather conditions). If the prize hasn't arrived by then, get in touch with the company offering the prize. Try to contact the person whose details you have & ask politely if there is a problem with delivery. A telephone call is the best way, but failing that try emailing them. If they don't reply, look on the original website for contact details & contact them, again being as polite as you can.
If you still get no response from them, there are a few different things you can try.
The Institute of Sales Promotions complaints@isp.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star.
The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.
I had an issue with a prize not turning up & after chasing politely for 5 months, I mentioned that I had been advised to talk to the Institute of Sales Promotions about the matter. Funnily enough that resulted in a letter of apology within a few days, along with a box of ‘Apology Goodies’ & my prize turned up 2 weeks later. Just remember to keep your cool & remain polite. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

please helpNatural stupidity is better than artificial intelligence0 -
when you put the forum in date order the first few will be out of sync, dont know why that happens, then they will go from the 01/ through to 31/ but by months so 01/08 01/09 01/10.... through to 31/12You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

hi
i have been comping since march, but generally i tend to do them on the day they close (be searching ending date) this is all well and good but if im out one day i miss a days comping.
I was just wondering how others do it? do they do them a week in advance? but then if someone post a new comp ending the date you have already done, would you miss it?
I think my stratergy is a bit rubbish.0 -
I'm a bit ocd on comps, I tend to do them as they are posted and then do them by the end date as well to check i havent missed any. If you are doing them on the day they end you might miss out as some may end at 6am i tend to be 2 or 3 days ahead on date ending and so will be doing the 31st today xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

i try to do them as soon as they're posted , if i've missed a few hours or a day, i start back from page 10 or whatever i left the page on & work through to page 1 , sometimes check in the 'comps ending' but find that a bit random, hth xplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0

I do comps as they are posted. Start on page 1 and work my way through until I get to the comps I've already entered and then start again on page 1. (I thank all posts so I know when I've got to a point where I've already entered)2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
2013: £134.960 -
so, for somebody like me who has entered up to 30/07 now, i like the look of what you do that way its not too late to do some of the EFFORT comps ect. how would i go bout starting that way?? as i would want to be missing comps ending 31/07 (as there are so many!!)0
