what a load of balloni. my reply to them:
Dear Vincent Shaw,
Thank you for your response.
Can you please advise me where in the Terms and Conditions it is stated that this game was an internal game intended for staff only. To quote the Terms and Conditions given:
Terms & Conditions - TalkTalk Freecalls
The TalkTalk Freecalls Competition consists of attaining the highest leader board score possible in the ‘Freecalls’ flash based game and will run for one month from Monday 22nd June 2009 until Wednesday 22nd July 2009.
1. Entries to the competition must be submitted by 11.59pm on Wednesday 22nd July 2009. Entry is by supplying contact details and playing the Freecalls game only.
2. The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 within the UK, but excluding employees or agents of its related, affiliated or subsidiary companies (except where specific exemption is given), or anyone else connected to the competition and their immediate family.
this clearly states the competition excludes employees, and was not at all intended for their sole use. The terms and conditions also state that the competition closes on Wednesday the 22nd July at 11:59pm, I recieved my reply from you at 18:52 on the 22/07, saying the competition is now closed, but by my calculations it should still be running for another 5 hours.
This competition was advertised on several websites, including www.broadband-finder.co.uk and cable.co.uk, not to mention TalkTalks own blog and facebook page, which are all open to the public. If it was indended for staff members only, although as stated breaking the T&C's given, then they should have been internally notified.
I am extremely disappointed to learn of the promoters going against their own terms and conditions, in which it does not state that the competition may be made void at their discression. I'm sure all entrants would not have put any time nor effort into playing the game advertised if TalkTalk had no intention of giving out the prizes as stated. As far as customer service goes, I find this utterly appaling, and shall be seeking outsider advice to persue with this case of false advertising.
Sincerely,
Miss N H******.............. :A.............0 -

Watched the show today and thought I would try the quiz.Saw that you could enter online for free so rather than spend cash on a phonecall I went online this evening to enter. The question isnt online though. It says answer the question asked on todays programme,A,B,or C.It doesnt even have the answers to choose from, just ABC.

I did watch the show earlier today but I don t remember the question or the answer options. Is there anywhere to find this online at all?"Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

ive just sent a complaint form to the ASA, i dont know what ISP is?
i think talktalk working hours are only til 8pm so wont get a response through the night, only took them a day to reply to the original though.
honestly, if theyre going to try and back out of dishing out prizes, they should read their own T&C before making an excuse such as 'its for staff only' when its bloody broadly advertised as being PUBLIC and the T&C clearly says employees cant win...
it took me bloody ages to win that thing lol............... :A.............0 -
ISP is institute of sales promotions, contact is in the comping guide. I've emailed them before and had a great response (they also involved the ASA).
Hope you get it sorted.
