Is it worth entering these competitions?
By what i mean, going through all the trouble of joining a new site, giving away your details and so on. Is there many winners or is it just a spam set up?

Theres a huge section on here called I won I won... I think a quick browse there will def set your mind at ease.

I can see your quite new to MSE, theres a great thread with lots of tips, called the comping guide here
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx

I've been amazed by how much I have won and pleasantly surprised by how little junk mail I've received! I have entered hundreds of comps in the last few months and I've had zero junk mail, maybe around 10 calls offering me a cheaper mobile contract and weekly newsletters from most sites I've entered my details with (all of which you can unsubscribe from in the click of a button). It is recomended to set up a separate hotmail account for comping to stop your comping mail getting mixed in with your personal mail. I have also found the Roboform (free programme that fills in your contact details in the click of a button) a great help since being told about it on this thread. Good luck!

Thanks you two. Yeah read up on the FAQ's and have looked on the I won,i won forum.... but there must be hundreds or more who post on here and enter these comps. I never win anything, so just wondering if there is many of posters that win more then once on big prizes?

Yes lots of people win, yes lots of people have multiple wins, Kaatlady is just one of the people who I know has won an ITV competition twice. (couple of thousand pounds each time)

Do you mean the part of T&C's which says:
Entries made online using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void

As it isn't actually referring to auto fill or roboform but programming the computer so that it can enter for you without you having to do anything.
