hi, speaking for myself, always think it's best to pm a BG to let them know, then they can check the link to make sure it's closed, sometimes peeps press the expired & it hasn't expired
I think that the new Expired Button is supposed to help the BGs because people don't have to bother them with expired comps but can sort them out themselves.
Martin says "These are some big changes, and we really hope it will help speed up some of the frustrations users have reported to us over time. Effectively for 'out of date' and 'spam' threads the forum is self-policing which should really improve things."0 -
Can anyone tell me why, despite the fact that I have subscribed to the Competitions Time forum and asked for the daily e-mail with the new comps, I have only ever received one?0

Still curious about my lack of buttons though. Is it because I'm a newbie?
I was also wondering if anyone knows how many posts I have to make before I can include a direct link or "clicky" to a comp?
Sorry for all the questions. I will get the hang of this eventually.

I sent a pm to a board guide requesting that the post be moved to GAME OVER and also added a thread to the post advising people that the competition had expired. Another member of the forum kindly suggested I used the expiry button rather than pm-ing a board guide but unfortunately I cannot find any information on this in the comping guide and don't appear to have the relevant button.(The "spam" button is missing too.)

Yes it should be - sorry. Realised I had posted in wrong place then couldn't find so thought it hadn't posted at all. The effects of my pub lunch I think0 -
Morning all! Here to gather some info for updating the Comping Guide & I need your help please
Firstly - radio comps.... I think perhaps the section in the Comping Guide is very out of date as I haven't seen any posts recently with a long lists of 'here are the other sites you can enter on'. Can anyone who knows please give me a heads up - is it now really just a comp which is unique to each site rather than across the groups? (If so I can delete a big chunk of defunct info from the Guide!) Hoping you knowing compers can help me
Secondly, the buttons... Does everyone now have the 'Like It?' 'Spam' & 'Expired' buttons? Or is it still rolling out gradually? I'm thinking of updating the Guide but don't want to make it more confusing if I'm talking about buttons that some Compers still don't haveAnyone out there have any info please?
I am adding into the Guide today about new members being unable to post links for an initial period so hope that will help with some queries.
Hope you Compers can help me out with the info I need to update our Guide:beer:
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
thank you VG
i know of a few members that's told me they've not got thier buttons yet, so think you're correct in saying they must be rolling them out gradually, perhaps when they've made the 10-15 posts they get them
think Lakshmi7 is the radio comps expertplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Re the Bauer radio stations, lakshmi posted a little while ago that it is now only one competition entry across all the stations. Also, you can only win one prize with them every six months, so no point entering if you've won anything else in that time.

They have now changed the 6 month rule
the new rules areA person or people at the same residential address may not win more than one prize valued at £500 or greater within a one-year period following the first win0 -

Bauer changed the rules so that you can only enter through one radio station.
This also applies to the GCap and Heart stations.
Also, with the Bauer stations, it depends which station you win the competition on. Some state you can only win one prize with them within a 6 month period, others state that if you win a prize worth over £500, then you can't win another one with them for 6 months.
For some strange reason, they keep changing their terms every couple of weeks, so I don't think they even know how they want to run their competitions at the moment. It is a scientific fact that your body will not absorb calories if you take it from another person's plate.:A :A :AChocolate is the answer and I don't give a damn whatthe question is.;)0
