Under tools, options and privacy do you have always clear my private data unchecked? Mine isn't checked and I stay logged in to almost everything.

I only use FF for comps and very little else. All financial websites are accessed elsewhere. Before anyone tells me off :)

thanks for that, I had the box checked that says 'automatically start firefox in a private browsing session', have unticked it now and seem to be sorted:D

I have solved my drag and drop issue in FF

if you drag and drop a url into the address bar it will open up in the same page

if you drag and drop the url into the space next to the open tab it will open up in a new tab!

didn't know that you could drag and drop into the space next to the open tab :o

    Hi all,

I asked a question the other day...

    2. Can I save a competition that I can enter daily or weekly instead of trying to remember what it was and having to trawl through old posts to find it.

What I do is either bookmark it or email the url to myself

What does bookmark it or email the url to myself mean and how do I do it?

I've spent ages trying to find the thread I made yesterday about registering an email for competitons and I only found it by fluke. WhenI did an advanced search it didn't come up and to be honest I don't know how I found this - so a reply asap would be appreciated as I'll probably lose this. I don't understand all the jargon so when someone is giving me advice it often goes over my very dim head.

    I have my uses :D

Thanks for 'trialling' the referral 'thingy', nice to know that appears okay too. It is a pain that it opens in the same window, especially when you have a memory like mine and the comp has more than one answer to it, I had to keep going back to check, so now I have 2 MSE tabs that I use at the same time to save me doing that.

Thanks for all of your hard work with this [STRIKE]Sherlock[/STRIKE] Amilucky ;)

I have tried but cannot find anything that will make IE open up in a new tab when you drag and drop into the space next to the open tab

I have also found that if you have more than 1 tab open at a time and you drag and drop the url into the tab or the space next to the tabs the referral link is sent by the browser

it only seems to not send the referrer if you drag and drop into the space next to the open tab and it is opened in the same window :(

i am using the split screen tab. so opened up the comps on the right hand side. and clicking and dragging the clicky into the left hand of the split screen. do you think this works?

Yes it does work and it doesn't matter which side you drag and drop the link from :D

To find anything that you have previously posted click on your name on the left hand side and then click on find more post's by mandy-j0

all of the regular comps like daily, weekly, monthly and other regular comps are listed on MSE here (click on the blue link)

    hope this helps!

    Best of Luck :)

You can also save the regular comps by creating daily, weekly, monthly and other regular comps folders in your bookmarks

I myself use Mitaggedmarks as it's easy to create tagged folders and bookmarks that are viewable on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Seamonkey, Opera, Safari, Avant Browser, Flock, Maxthon, Sleipnir and nearly any other browser
