I myself use Mitaggedmarks as it's easy to create tagged folders and bookmarks that are viewable on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Seamonkey, Opera, Safari, Avant Browser, Flock, Maxthon, Sleipnir and nearly any other browser
Oooh I got all excited about this - I prefer using tags to straightforward bookmarks - but alas it does not work with Macs :rolleyes:0 -
I have solved my drag and drop issue in FF
if you drag and drop a url into the address bar it will open up in the same page
if you drag and drop the url into the space next to the open tab it will open up in a new tab!
didn't know that you could drag and drop into the space next to the open tab
I suggested that in my post #13850 -

Never mind, I just wondered if I had disappeared. I did once use The Invisible Man as my avatar.
Do you get a blank new tab in Firefox? If so, you can also drag and drop onto this.0 -
I'm easily confused.... esp when its comes to pcs...My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Thanks, Amilucky, for starting off this interesting discussion about sites knowing we've clicked through from MSE, and for the great advice you've given! (and thanks to everyone else who's added interesting info on the subject).
My comping is rather haphazard, compared to most of you, so haven't had many wins, but one thing I've noticed is that I've almost always won from entering via an email newsletter or directly from a site, eg a newspaper, mag.
Just wondering if others have noticed this with their wins, which would definitely confirm Amilucky's suspicions?!!0 -
Hiya, does any one use the scramble twitter thing, I'm sure a few of you do, how to you submit something you want to win, don't really understand it, just need to win an ipod from my ds after putting his in the washing machine!!!! Help needed0

I just tried this, and finally understood something techy, but that made sense. Even better I could do it as well.
I think I will try this for a while, and see if it makes any difference. What about saved bookmarks, I've already got, do I need to redo them please? There has been some talk recently on mse about some of the sites not liking entries from mse or compers
call me paranoid if you like but I think that there are some sites out there that do not like mse or any of the other comping sites and filter out and discard certain entries by the referral link
if you enter a comp using the traditional method by clicking on a link and then click on tools and then page info at the top of the browser it will show the referring url as being from mse
now for the good part I have come across a way of hiding the referral link that shows that you have come from mse it works in FF not sure if it also works in IE
if you are entering a comp from mse just left click on the link with your mouse and drag and drop it into the address bar it will automatically go to the web page but best of all will not reveal the web page that you have come from!, this will work on any link including hidden links and even the post's where it say's click on the pic to enter just drag and drop the picture into the address bar!
hope this of use to someoneMy light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Saved bookmarks will be ok provided they don't contain a link to mse or any other comping site as in this bookmark E: 21/08 Win a pair of Leyio personal sharing devices - MoneySavingExpert.com Forums
if in doubt in FF click on the link and go to Tools-Page Info the above link shows the referal as http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1866175
when the referral link is not displayed the text "Referring URL" will not show
hope this helps!0 -
