    :j well done!

just noticed that you said you couldn't find any mccoys comp packs - I've got 3 packs and I doubt very much that I'm going to win at all so if you want to use one of the codes on my packs I'll send it you if you manage to win anything?

  • Just had a letter from local nursery school offering LO a place THIS September :( Is it just me or is that far too young, she doesn't go 3 until middle of August so will be 3 & 2 weeks old when they start in September. I put down for her to start next January when she'll be 3 & 1/2 but if I don't accept this place then there is no guarantee she'll be kept on the list til January.
2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,

Anyway that she could just go for the morning or the afternoon until January and then go full time  I don't really know how these things work but my sister goes to nursery and is younger than that

Trouble is if they're full there might not be any space available in January and I guess it's all about the funding........

I know where you're coming from though - DD2 is August baby - she started reception at the grand age of 4 years, 3 weeks - hadn't even had a full year at nursery....:(.

I feel it is far too young - especially starting school at four. Ridiculous

;)old enough to know better, young enough not to care;)
  • This place they are offering is 5 mornings or 5 afternoons a week for 1 year then NEXT September she'll go 5 full days. It's for 3 & 1/2 - 4 year olds but because they need LO's in to fill up places they can start the term after they are 3 which I think is wrong on so many levels, why can't they be little for a bit longer.

My other daughter's birthday is October, she started the September then turned 4 6 weeks after starting nursery.

BM are you sure your sister goes to a nursery school because they shouldn't be taking under 3 year olds in school, perhaps it's a private nursery that take them from being babies?

The school no longer has a January intake for FULL timers so regardless if she starts nursery school September or January she'll go full time next September when she will be 4 years & 2 weeks.

As far as I'm aware they are not full that's why they are offering places to younger than 3 & 1/2, I've made my mind up she's not starting in September it's just not right. If she can't start in January I'll have to look elsewhere for a place or she'll stay at home with me til she starts full time. I have signed her up for 2 sessions a week at playgroup from September to get her more interaction with other kids so she can stay there til she gets a place somewhere else.

oh maybe that would probably make more sense - I don't really know just know that my dad said she had started nursery but she's not 3 so it must be that.

and she was chuffed with me losing weight (her scales didn't agree with the 3 sets I've tried today ;):rotfl: but it doesn't bother me) and she was extra impressed when I told her how much I'd lost in a year :D:cool:
