Can anyone advise me: Posted on DFW and IVA boards but:
To cut a long story short, I know someone who has an IVA but he is spending vast amounts of money on holidays and luxury items; I feel I should contact the IVA people but how do I do this?
He has a history of avoiding taking responsibility for his actions and always expects others to bail him out so I really think he needs this kick up the backside to get him to sort his life out.
The whole point of an IVA, if I'm correct, is that you are honest and upfront and rather than luxuries and holidays, your money goes towards paying towards your debts. He's having the vast majority of these debts wiped out anyway when he clearly doesn't deserve to. It is making a mockery of the system which is meant to help those who are struggling.
So, who do I contact and how? Thanks in advance. By the way, my mind is made up. If I can report him, I will.0 -

I haven't seen all of what you said but beta blockers can also calm you down - have had experience using them in the past - if you wanna know anything just PM me if you don't want it public - feel free to ask me anything xxxxx
I can't have Beta Blockers unfortunately because I suffer from psoriasis and apparently it can make it much worse so my doctor won't let me have them
Fortunately, my problem really is just the anxiety on its own not depression which is a blessing. I think it is actually connected to my hormones because I've had several bad bouts in my life and they've all been after I've either had a baby or I've started taking the contraceptive pill.
It can be pretty severe though. We were in the Lake District last year and I really wanted to go on a cruise. However, when we got there the boat was really tiny and when you sat inside it, the water was almost at face level. I don't think I've ever been so scared in all my life!!! I was crying and almost hysterical. I really thought I was going to die! :eek:Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

Make a pasta salad.
Boil some pasta
Leave to go cold
Add some fat free salad dressing (Italian one is nice)
Add some halved cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, peppers, spring onions etc.
Put in fridge overnight and bung in lunchbox for work.

Diazepam in better than beta blockers - what dose do they want to put you on? It's very good and can be used for all sorts of things, like people who are scared of flying etc. Can also be used to control panic attacks. I know how you feel hun - they are awful. Like i said any questions at all - just ask xxxxxFriends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -

Not sure about the dose - they've not offered it to me yet.
I don't think it'll be a problem though because I've been given it before for anxiety (but not taken it).
It was a very low dose that time so probably the same this time. Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small
