From my experience O2 search Equifax. I applied for another contract with them last night and no search was done with Experian. This was also the case when I got my contract out in January.

You are lucky...one less credit search! Did you apply at o2 shop or online? I suspect there are different checking systems in place, some places check for two CRAs, EX and EQ whereas some check just the one!

In January I applied in store as I read online that O2 were accepting anyone for their simplicity deals and having a poor credit rating I jumped at the chance. Although, when I did go instore they told me they knew not aware of this. Nonetheless, I was accepted anyway, which was weird as I was declined only in December when I applied online. I later checked my Experian files and seen there was no search by O2 present.

I applied last night again for another simplicity deal (online this time) but was not given an instant decision, which let me to believe I'd failed the credit check and I'd been lucky the first time. However, this morning I received an email saying I have been accepted and will recieve my sim in the next few days. But once again, no search on my experian file.
