thanks!
Personally I use a Lowe Alpine Rucksack with the soft padded back instead of a laptop bag. A few reasons for this:
1) Its very well padded and cheaper than a lot of good quality laptop bags
2) Its a lot safer to carry your laptop in a rucksack as it draws less attention from potential thieves than a laptop case
3) You can carry it on both shoulders and balance the weight!
Hope thats useful! :j0 -

Makes sense - if anyone wants a cheap rucksack try one of these (not sure how padded they are though or if the Dell laptop will fit them:
£10: http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/pp/Special_Offers/Backpacks_and_Rucksacks/Sprayway_Eclipse_20.html
£5:

Argos often sell cheap rucksacks in the sale, or if you are specifically looking for a padded one, try somewhere like Milletts :j0 -

None of the majors that I know of, but you might get a deal at one of your local shops.
Ebay is probably your best bet to sell if your system is marketable.
If you just want just to get rid of an obsolete pc Dell will collect and recycle old PC's if you have bought one of theirs recently and it doesn't have to be a Dell you are recycling.0 -
Still having problems creating restore disk - phoned Dell, sending me out a copy of XP and 6 other disks with the driver and progs etc.
Should be here by Thursday.0 -

Might call Dell and tell them I'm having trouble even if I'm not, saves me burning copies of all that and risking them corroding on my cheap CDR0 -

Cheapest dell laptop (NEW) is £339 inc longer life battery and del.
select business, small business and inspiron. go through basic model 1300, take off warranty and add 6 cell battery.
No need for offer codes or anything else like that
I have one and they are reasonably good!
Hope this helps at least one person!

That's interesting. I sent them an email and just got a shed load of advice on what to do if my system has a problem. Like you I want the discs so I will always be able to install vital info if necessary. Do you know which department you got through to as I might give this a go too. Thanks0
