Is that 1-N03136 as i cant find it.

That one was a March offer and ended some time ago.
Offers change every Thursday. Nearest one now is N04135b £339 but you would need to add memory to get to the same spec. Next nearest is N04131b £410.08 which has 60GB HD instead of 40GB.
But best deal on the list at the moment I think is N04137 £419.01 which has a 1.6GHz processor and 60GB HD plus a free printer.0 -

Wish I knew that they were going to phase out the 6000 when the chance was there to get one for £460
Also missed a Latitude D600 for £260 on Ebay earlier
Looks like its the 1300 as a last resort, hope the build quality is up to scratch.0 -
They still have about a hundred 6000s available from The Dell Outlet at reduced prices, if you're willing to take a gamble...Thanks to all who post constructively.

Ones in the Outlet are more expensive than what they were going for brand new, after it adds VAT and such
Anyone able to comment on build quality of the 1300? One test - does the display ripple if you press the plastic at the back of the lid?
Want to know if they are built any better than the cheap Acers I was looking at today, which I am going to avoid. Flimsy rubbish IMO.0 -
quite solid lids, did'nt notice any ripple on the two I see at work....good solid plastic and solid hingesEx forum ambassador

thanks!
PC World have the Antler New York for £24.99 if you reserve it online, there is a thread on this forum about it. (Thats where I'm going for a bag for mine)
Tesco have a nylon one for about £13 if you dont need the protection of leather, theres a £5.50 one at SVP that looks like it is as protective as wet paper.
Take your pick
By the way, what do you think of the Inspiron 1300?
Edit - notice you said you had just ordered it after posting, thought you said you had recieved it0
