you will find tha 256ram is ok now but soon as you start installing more programs or begin working with a few programs at the same time it will slow the laptop down. If you only going to access the web them 256k is ok.

The two important programs you need are a software firewall suh as zone alarm and an antivirus program such as avg ( i prefer nod32). i wouldnt use the ones dell provide you with.

As for a good dvd playing program you might want to try theatertek.

As there is no free delivery as from 23/3, prices are more straightforward and there are no differences between small business and home section pricing. There are a couple of pricing anomalies on two pairs of codes.

The offer codes and prices are as below in order of incresing specification. (Prices include vat and delivery and are based on 90 collect and return).

    N03135 £348.47
    N03136 £399.12
    N03132 £470.07 see note (3)
    N03136a £499.00 see note (1) below
    N03132a £505.32 see note (1) below
    N03137 £598.99 see note (2) below
    N03133 £646.32 see note (2) below

Note (1) ---N03136a and N03132a are equivalent specifications but N03136a is slightly cheaper.
Note (2) ---N03137 and N03133 are equivalent specifications but N03137 is substantially cheaper and includes a free 725 printer.
Note (3) ---upgrade to this specification from N03136 for £452.00 a saving of £18.

The reduced offer price of £10 for the 725 printer has been removed.

    Hope this helps someone.

Also, there is N03135C which is £349, has 512Mb instead of Wireless (£35 odd extra).

    I am getting the 6400 N03641 at £705, not £549.

It is £549 on the Small Business section, but that excludes VAT and delivery.

How did you get it at £549 incl?

Yes-sorry, my mistake, clicked on a dell e-mail link and didn't realise I was in Small Business. Thought it was an excellent deal!
