£50,000 for a house???!!! Even in this recession I'm stunned that you can get a house for so little.
There are * some* lower priced pockets of the country you know.(& of course the HPCers reckon that all prices are heading downwards to that level;))
See here and here for fine examples : the second one is perhaps not such a good deal - the estate agent's info asserts that " this property won't last long" :rotfl:

To the OP - are you any kin to Pantsman (from The Apprentice) ???0

if this is not a windup - then a LHA/HB recipient is allowed a sleeping-over partner for 3 nights a week only.
the fact that you are her LL may confuse matters as already stated0 -
As long as the OP doesn't move in with her, I see nothing wrong with the odd 'get together' with his 'sexy tenant'. (Lucky guy!)
So long as he doesn't claim for the mileage on his tax return for the 'additional services' rendered he should be within the rules.
In fact it's a very similar situation to that I've been in with several of my more open minded employees and clients in the past.
Let's live a little and give the guy a break!
However, the DSS are not quite so open minded, so I wouldn't rush to inform them of this - but do take care to stay within the law.0 -
This post is not genuine in my opinion. Too many inconsistencies. LHA do not pay direct to landlord for starters. WHich house in UK cost 50K at the moment?0

If you read on the benefits board, you will see that the definition of what counts as living together and what doesn't is a very grey area. There is no specific number of nights per week etc, everything is decided on a case by case basis depending on things like joint finances, joint shopping, whether you are registered elsewhere as well as overnighters.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Precisely - you need to keep things nice and grey.
And landlords can get paid directly, naijapower - been there myself - though sadly I never had quite such a good rapport with my tenants as the OP has.0
