Not sure if it's been posted here already but there is a Marks & Spencers outlet a Woolwich. You can often pick up some real bargains as they have a clearance area where the prices are even further reduced.

For instance I recently bought a dress that had been on sale first at the reduced price of £29.99, then further reduced to £14.99. I've had some lovely panties for £1 too.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Must declare an interest in this one first, as my wife works there. It is called Oswaldtwistle mills and is near Accrington in Lancashire just of the M65. Does all the normal stuff clothes shoes arty stuff ( really good lady who paints animals )

Plus they have a sweet factory inside were you can go on a tour and buy all the old favourites from your childhood. Name it they probably make it.

2 nice eating places as well

    Enjoy

OSWALDTWISTLE MILL IS NOT A FACTORY OUTLET !!!!!

This place is very expensive - no bargains to be had here.
I used to live just down the road from it and popped in when desperate for my craft items.

Wasnt too pleased with having to pay extra though.

Great place for a day out though as they have a lovely garden centre and a pets corner etc etc

I have been told that there is a Per Una factory shop in Hinckley. Does any kind person out there know where I can find it? An address or phone number would be great!:T
    Thanks

There is a factory shop (literally, it's in a factory) in Hinckley. I'll post again once I get home from work as the contact numbers/address are at home in the paper. It opens only every two weeks and only then on Friday/Saturday. As you can imagine, it's a bit of a busy place so you have to be prepared to fight through the crowds - but there can be some very good bargains for M&S/Per Una gear.

    Will update later.....

  • My wife works at the Van Dal shoes factory shop in Dibden Road, Norwich. Mostly Van Dal shoes and handbags but there are other makes such as Caprice, Jenny, Sally O Hara, Marco Tozzi etc. There are one off samples, all of the prices are up to 30% off the retail price and this seasons boots are now in stock. There are perfect and seconds shoes. They also do a selection of mens shoes but NO childrens. The opening hours are 10.00am - 4.00 pm Monday to Saturday.
    Onwards and Upwards ;)

Details of the Per Una Factory Shop as follows :-

    Trafford Knitwear Ltd
    43 New St, Hinckley LE10 1QY
    Tel: 01455 635699

Suggest you either use SatNav or do a multimap/AA/route planner before you go as it is in the old industrial quarter of hinckley. The area is safe and all that, just mainly factories in the knitwear/clothing business. Think about like Mike Baldwin's place in Corrie!.

You'll go past it several times as all they usually do is put a small A Board up on the pavement outside, and it's all one-way streets as well so can get a bit confusing.

Anway, it was open last Friday/Saturday so it will not be open this weekend (that is, tomorrow Friday 22nd Sept and Saturday 23rd Sept) but will be open from 10.00 to 4.00 NEXT Friday/Saturday.

As per my earlier post, it can get VERY busy in the factory (we're talking shoulder to shoulder) and absolutely no room for spinning cats, but if you can fight past all the middle-aged women then you should find some top bargains!.

My daughter used to live in Sheringham. The last time she visited (last summer, I think) her friends said Kinnerton's shop in Fakenham had gone.

Someone else may have more recent/local knowledge, or it may be worth trying to ring them.

I think it would be useful if we could list the different shops available at shopping villages, not just single-shop mentions, so I'll kick off with Clarks Village.

Just to clarify, Clarks Village, or Clarksville as some of the locals call it, is in Street, Somerset. Last time I visited it (about 2-3 yrs ago) they had:

    Clarks - full price
Another separate Clarks shop - factory outlet & seconds
    Waterford Crystal, Stuart Crystal etc
    Lots of other quality glassware
China and porcelein such as Denby, Wedgewood etc
Liz Clayborn - including the Elisabeth range (plus sizes)
    Several lingerie shops
    Remmington
    Rohan
    The Body Shop
    Prices Candles
    A pottery
    Whittards
    Cotton Traders
Several outdoor sports shops, including camping and clothing
Several clothing shopes (ladies and men)
A jeweller (can't remember the name but not one of the big chains)
National Trust or English Heritage, can't remember which

Memory's going folks, but there were loads more and they had an expansion building programme on.

There was also a children's playground, several eating places and stalls, and a tourist information centre. They sometimes have 'street entertainers' for the kids.

There is a car parking on site (though it gets busy) but the parking in Street itself is very limited.

There were also some cheap shoe shops on the main street in Street (sorry about the pun!).

    Hi

I was working in Fakenham early this summer and saw Kinnertons just on the edge of town, a stones through from the main high street. I was in the car and didn't see a shop per say, but the signage and everything was here. I only found out about it as someone had mentioned it on another thread!
  • Hope this hasnt been posted before;

Designer Warehouse Sales - riight next to Kings Cross do sales at different points of the year. There is one this weekend (menswear) - and a regular Nicole Fahri one (October). Someone told me about this years ago - but I have never been so if anyone has please post a review. I expect it is not particularly cheap because of the labels involved!
