Great Factory Shops Hunt

If you are looking for great quality fabric for curtains or upholstery try Halley Stevensons in Dundee at Annfield Road. This is their factory shop, some stuff is slight seconds, they have top designs by laura ashley, and others. Its very cheap compared to shops. Laura Ashley Material is 1/3 of what it is in high street stores. Loads of rolls to choose from and every colour you need.

Does anyone know of any food factory outlets, in the South of England - Surrey especially??

I am very jealous of those people living near a chocolate outlet. I could save a fortune!

FOr some of the finest beds (made by Relyon - as sold in Harrods, And So To Bed, House OF Fraser, M&S) and SOfabeds (john Lewis' mainly), and other furniture items, go to the Old Mill Factory Shop in Bridport, Dorset. http://www.oldmillshop.co.uk/
The website has no product info, but does have address / phone no. Their product in shops cost up to £15k. In the factory shop they go for around £200. Yes, 2 hundred pounds instead of 15 thousand. Not many offers like that, though.
The same company also own Steinhoff Furniure. They have leather sofas, brass bedsteads, sofabeds, normal divan beds, wooden frames. You have to collect the furniture yourself, so take a van!

Even if they arn't the same company they are excellent to bid on. I picked up the perfect glass / chrome wall light for just over a fiver!

So far they seem to list about a dozen auctions at a time, and don't have a shop yet, but their service is just fine. You even get the speak to the lady who organises the ebay side of things when you phone up to pay.

So if you want to benefit from Poole Lighting style low prices but don't live nearby check out decorumlighting on ebay.co.uk and keep an eye on their listings.

I don't think they're connected as Decorum Lighting has had a proper showroom in Bournemouth for a long time now. While Poole Lighting is definitely a factory shop for Poole Lighting the light manufacturers, you can see their names on the lights being sold in B&Q etc. Incidentally, my nice Marks and Spencers uplighter lamp is now being sold for £40, I paid £80 and thought that was a bargain at less than half price!

I also forgot to mention the obvious factory shop in this area which is Poole Pottery. Plenty of seconds to be found there, but they're still not cheap, depends if you like Poole Pottery really!

hi i work at a factory which makes suites for m & s , we have a factory shop which is open tues to sunday ( times vary- phone first ) . We sell both leather and fabric furniture, at approx half price or less . stock is constantly changing , everything from development pieces, overmakes,order cancellations and 2nd quality returns . 01352 714131

Argos clearance warehouse on the Stanford road near Corby - selling all sorts of items for around half price or less - from the road the warehouse just advertises as discount warehouse but all stock has Argos labels (even the tills are old Argos !)
