Have you come across Costco at all? A huge American warehouse (similar to Makro but 10 x better) which sells everything from food to furniture! Not a massive selection but generally top quality though mostly in bulk. You have to pay a joining fee and match certain criteria. https://www.costco co ukFavourite Cat0

a brilliant place for factory outlets is the Yorkshire Outlet in Doncaster just off the m18 (well it was before i moved back down south two years ago
)
I know since i moved they have added more shops. But when i was there, there was a Clarks, Black & Decker, Togs, pilot, jeffrey rogers, and shops selling candles, books underwear, toys, clothes. Loads of stuff.
Also at Donnie market in the indoor food hall there were stalls selling discounted frozen foods and other food stuffs.
Also there there was another factory outlet centre on the M62 between Selby and Leeds ( i cant remember its name) also a very good place to shop for clothes, music, sports gear. Which is a short distance away from Ikea!
I definately recommend visiting both of them. Unfortunately theres nothing round Luton, as far as I knowI miss life up north!
The one In Doncaster is now known as 'Lakeside', there's a Marks and Next outlets there now but like most outlets it's nothing special and generally not that Cheap.
The Other one you mention is Freeport, and Is just off the M62 between Castleford and Pontefract (Next to Xscape Indoor Snow Thing) IMHO, this is better than the Lakeside.
Other 'Outlets' around here are McAuther Glen at Mansfield & York.0 -
Perhaps a bit wacky for some...but if you ever go to Zurich, make a trip to the Lindt factory......i think its every Weds or Tues the shop is open and you can buy chocolate at dirt cheap prices...wehn i say cheap i mean REALLY cheap...
we bought about £500 rrp chocolate for about £35.
The bars of chocolate that Waitrose sell for £2 were 10p...we bought 60!
boxes of licquor chocolate sticks were 50p - £10+ in shops.
Nothing wrog with them, not even 2nd's...alot of locals there queuing up too!
Most of our buys were for friends and family as strangely enough i dont eat much chocy!Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -

There is a burberry factory shop, in the main town centre of castleford in yorkshire. Their bags sell for around £95.00, purses £55.00. They do have mega days but when i havent a clue. My hubbie found it as he delivers around the area, but when we went there was not much, so i guess you will just have to chance your luck.
There is a great childs boutique just round the corner too which had a sale on.... i spent more in there and was in seventh heaven.0 -
There is a Startrite outlet in Norwich which has some real bargains in kids shoes, I got a pair of Cruisers for my daughter for £8 (typical price would be double that), slippers for £3 & they also had Barbie wellies for £3. It's worth a trip if you are in the area (& it's next door to Makro so plenty of bargains there too!).
Also at the other end of the country there is a New Balance factory shop in Workington which has some great deals on sportswear.0 -
What days and times is the startrite open please? - I go to Makros and never realised the I could go to the HUGE startrite - staring me in the face next door. I originally started this thread 'cos i never know where the factory shops are and I've missed another one under my nose!!!!!!!!0

Could you PM me the address to Per Una?Can anyone go? I know a lady sells Per una stuff on ebay and she's based in Leicester so I presume that's where she gets her stuff from. How far is the place from Leicester centre as I'm in London so dont know it too well! Is there a mad rush ?
sorry for all the questions lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks!
Hinckley is 16 miles out of Leicester there are are some buses that go out there but I think they go all over the place first so it would take ages. There is a train but I wouldn't recommended it seeing as it is one of the dreaded central trains. Of course if you're driving you'll be able to avoid all of this.0 -
Thanks!
Have you been there? I cant seem to find an exact address as I'd like to telephone first before travelling.

Has anyone any factory shops in or very near Liverpool?
I got a couple of outlets from Good Deal before but I'm sure that considering the size of Liverpool there must be more!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
