Factory shops etc in Scotland - from my 2003 Good Deal Directory, so you would have to check before going that they were still there.

Babygro – Kirkcaldy
Lochleven Mills Kinross – Knitwear and clothing
Clarks shoes – Parkead Forge, Glasgow and MacArthur Glen, Livingston
The Factory Shop, Carluke and Burnside Mill, Cupar – clothing, household, electrical
TKMaxx – all over. (Worth a visit for leather small things, wallets, etc and handbags, towels, sheets and duvet covers and things like vases, photo albums and frames. And clothes if you have a few hours to spare going through the racks)
Gleneagles Knitwear, Auchterarder – factory shop
Edinburgh Crystal, Penicuik – crystal of every description, café too (watch for glasses being different heights if you want several and for tiny bubbles in the glass. Normally though you can’t see why things are seconds)
K Shoes, Dundee – Factory shop (FS)
BMJ Power, Gt Western Road, Glasgow – power tools, etc
Capones, Glasgow and Coatbridge – wallpaper. Permanent discount outlet
EASY, Edinburgh – architectural salvage yard. Great, but don’t wear good clothes to rummage round!
Rejects, Kirkcaldy – everything for the house. “Curtain dept larger than Harrods”, “private car park for 300 cars”
John Baillie Carpets, Paisley – permanent discount outlet
Sunrite Blinds Factory Shop, Edinburgh
Cotton Print Factory Shop, Glasgow – all kinds of fabrics
Out Lines, Auchterarder – material . Permanent discount outlet
Denby Factory Shop, Livingston
Gleneagles Crystal, Broxburn – FS
MacKinnon Mills FS, Coatbridge – woollen mill

North Cape, near Stirling – FS. Outdoor clothing

I got some Black patent penny loafers for £20 from the MacArthur Glen factory outlet and went back later and got another pair. They have been worn almost to a stand still! Great.

There are more but mostly the ones at the outlet villages. Hope someone can add more to these

I live not far from Kenwoods, (kitchen appliances) in Havant nr Portsmouth they have a shop which has very low prices compared to electrical goods shops like Comet & Curry's.
