  • hiya, if i were you id ring my bank or debit card company cause its very unlikely scitech will cough up best of luck...
  • I am also waiting for a WII + WII fit which I ordered on 16th June.

I have tried tirelessly to telephone them but it is continually engaged and emails i have sent have NOT been responded to.

I'm soo cross with myself because I have stopped using my credit card (1 less bill) and had started using my debit card instead, which is what i paid for it with. When i saw the notice from Scitechcomputers i immediately rang my bank and was told there was nothing they could do because I had authorised them to take the money from my account. And they were quick enough to take the money, the same day infact.

I too would be interested if anybody who paid by Debit card is refunded by their banks

God I,m soooo f*****g cross as its took me months to save for this.

Scitech website is also saying that they expect there bank account to be active again from Thursday, other forums are saying this is another lie!!!

I've seen this 'active again Thursday' BUT WHICH THURSDAY ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Im just glad i paid with my cred card so i can claim the moneys back! Ordered another Wii from the Toys R us website on wednesday and it arrived today! I think the moral of this story is, If you have the slightest doubt about ordering from the net always use your credit card.. just in case!!...

Got a letter today from trading standards as I reported Scitech to them. The letter said that they had visited the registered address for Scitech Computers to meet with the owners only to find the building empty and a pile of post building up by the door.

They are continuing to try and track down the owners.
So don't expect to get a refund as by the sounds of it they have done a runner with our money!!!

Only way will be to claim back from your bank/credit card company.

Has anyone managed to get a refund from using a standard maestro debit card? If im not going to get credited for the amount I'm going to personally pursue Amraiz Akhtar to retrieve the money that he has stolen from me by any means necessary, which shouldn't be that hard as members of my family work within various police departments.

    Stay tuned.

    Hi SqtPepper
I also paid for goods using a Maestro card and have contacted both my bank (NatWest) and Maestro and they both advised that they do not operate any kind of protection.

I have requested that an investigation be carried out by the Company Investigation Bureau as to their fraudulant trading. I would also like to track down Mr Akhtar.
If I have helped in any way, and you feel like it - please press the thanks button

I have got same problem. Feel gutted that I have a maestro card and not VISA, as people who have VISA are getting refunded under the Visa charge back scheme.

I have contacted trading standards, and filed for an investigation to be carried out through Companies Investigation Branch. I suggest we all do this, so we are heard!

If anyone has any further suggestions, please let me know?
