I wondered if they were a legitimate company. I've tried googling them but didn't find any reviews or anything.

Perhaps pay with credit card to protect yourself if you are unsure.

Wii for £139.99 does seem a good price!!

I had my doubts about this company but spoke to someone there who sounded genuine enough (how can one tell)? The review on bview strikes me as a little suspicious, as it's the only post by that person.


Anyone had a positive experience (or otherwise) ordering one of these from SciTech? Anyone with a history of genuine posts that is...

Hi i ordered a wii console with wii sports £139.99
wii fit with balance board £59.99

ordered 19th may,it still hasnt come
i rang them which took forever! they said dont worry you will defo get within 1 week,well 1 more week passed called yesterday they said deffo by tues,they are extra busy because of this deal,i will let you know if it comes tues

I placed an order with Scitech Computers on the 15th May, I have received good communication from them but as yet nothing has arrived but have been told they have had lots of orders which is delaying the delivery.

Will keep you updated as well : )

I also ordered a Nintendo Wi for £139.99 and the order went through ok then 3 hours later got an email saying payment declined cause my address doesnt match. So phone Barclaycard who checked it and said payment hadnt been decline it had been taken 6 times!
I crapped myself and thought "dodgy company", they advised me to wait a day or two and see if the payments went through as sometimes its just an authorisation rather than a debit.
Anyway emailed the company demanding a call back as couldnt get through to them, it continually rang then just went dead.
By this point i was getting worried and rang BT to test the line to see if they were still trading, they were. Then the following day I get a call from a guy called Ali (the owner i assume, it seems like a one man outfit as there is only one incoming call line, having tried on multiple phones to call them!)
We agreed to try and take payment one more time and it authorised, that was on 28May and i was told id receive the nintendo within 7-10 days.
Payment did go through but only the once thankfully but im still waiting for my Nintendo!!
Ive emailed him again and he says it will be with me by the middle of next week, somehow I doubt it.
The only time this guy will call you back is if its to obtain payment unless he emails you and its unacceptable to run a business like that where the consumer cannot get to speak to anyone regarding the order.

I would just like to cancel my order now as I just dont trust this guy and have told him that unless he phones me by close of business today then im going to lodge a formal complaint with ISIS who regulate internet sites and the local trading standards office.

I have sent numerous emails requesting a call back today or I will be lodging a complaint with ISIS and after over an hour of sitting with 2 phones and the number continually ringing, I finally got my call answered.
HURRAY!

A guy called Asif put me through to Mr Amraiz Akhtar (The boss) who explained they are a very small company and had been inundated with around 200 orders a day for this Nintendo offer.
They are essentially a computer repair business offering games etc and since doing this offer on the Nintendo they basically couldnt cope with the growth of the business in the last month or so.
Orders were not being shipped until 3-4 weeks after the order was originally placed. I advised that it would be helpful if they contacted their consumers to advise this or updated their website to state this when the orders are placed since most people buy these things for childrens birthdays etc.
I also said that they havent got a great reputation because of this delay and the fact that consumers cannot get to speak to anybody when checking up on their order.
He apologised for this advising that he is trying to answer as many calls and emails as possible and ship the orders out as soon as he can.

Anyway, I have been assured that my order will be posted PARCELFORCE on Monday to reach me by tuesday so fingers crossed it will FINALLY arrive.

All I will say is if you place an order be prepared to wait or buy it elsewhere if its needed for a birthday or quickly.

When I placed my order with them I had exactly the same issue with them not being able to put my order through due to an address mis match. I checked with my bank whoc confirmed everything was ok. After 3 attempts it finally went through........strange surely it must be an issue at Scitech's end.

Placed my order on the 15th May and still waiting!!!

If you do place orders as mentioned be prepared to wait and wait :rotfl:
