Toto - if you did it over the phone is it covered by distance selling and you can cancel within 7 days??

I didn't :( I went into town and did it. I did try calling O2 but I'm stuck now because I went and got the phone over a week ago. Oh well.

Glad I am not the only cold person about, feel less weird now. Couldn't sleep last night, was half tempted to go and sit in the back garden for some strange reason. I would have done too if it wasn't really windy last night. Got to sleep eventually but wasn't best pleased when the alarm went off.

    Thanks guys. :)

As Stu was willing to go into school, I asked him to just go in and ask for the letter they have to provide by law when your child is excluded.

He was told that a letter wasn't available as the head hasn't got around to doing it yet because he is busy doing interviews. Which means Ryan is illegally excluded from school. I'm not sure if that will help our case, but it can't harm it.

No call from the exclusions department yet though, and no call back from the local support group. Frustrating how slowly things happen, but as it's unlikely we will make further progress today, we will put it behind us now and look forward to Natasha's birthday tomorrow. :)

Bunny - love you too sweetie, very glad you are here x

It must be so frustrating, especially when it takes so long to get things sorted out. Fingers and toes crossed for you that it's a great outcome at the end of it all.

I'm so sleepy this afternoon, can't wait to get home and just go zzzz on the sofa!

afternoon all, back from the longest feeling shortest working week ever.....

Snags, I wish I were nearer, I really do. I'd come and look after Natasha so you could make calls, visit any council departments, the school etc, or just to go for a walk with Ryan.

Toto - you are amazing - it really shows how much we can all help each other from the distant corners of the UK

Sar - I've been following you on FB so I know you're working now, but good to see you pop in :D

scorgeous - sorry your sponsor doggy died. xx

For me it is going to be an afternoon of finishing the job application I started yesterday, washing up and hopefully a couple of hours of AQA.

Been checking out this thing recommended to me today at YPAS, Platform2 it's called. 18-25 year olds can go to another country and help out in community projects. Only trouble is you need a passport and to fund your own travel to the interviews and airport, after that it's all picked up for you. Definitly something I am gonna start saving up for.

god, I hate filling in application forms. This organisation has a good system where you register and can do it in bits, so you can go away and come back and it's saved it all. I just have the bit where you big yourself up to do......

    another one done........

I am wondering whether to go into town in the morning and buy an interview suit. I have 4 job applications in now, 1 closed last Friday, 1 closes in a week and 2 close towards the end of May. I've re-read the JD for the one closing in a week (the one being re-advertised due to low number of applicants) and I really don't think I stand a cat in hell's chance of an interview even though they wrote to me to ask if I'd still be interested after they re-advertised. It is a really, really senior manager's job and I think they will struggle to find anyone who fits the whole JD- it's very diverse!! I fit half of it, but not the other half!

Hey BB, how do you know that the other candidates would only fit 1/4? and besides I know you, if you say you fit half I can bet you actually fit 90%.

As for the suit, go for it, it might give you that extra little bit of confidence.
