Grrrrrrrr!
I've spoken to Stu, who to my complete surprise (and to his credit) is finishing work early and coming back to Leeds.
But he is SO frustrating. He said 'I'm going to go into school and talk to the head'.
So I was quite impressed by his willingness to do that - I said 'What are you going to ask him', and he said 'Just what's been going on', so I said 'Well, they have already told me that, I've heard it from both the school and Ryan, so I'm not sure there's really any benefit in asking them again'. So he said 'I dunno then, I'll just go in and ask them what's been going on'.
So I am trying to stay calm and not let that irritate me - so I say, really calmly 'Okay, what are you hoping to achieve when you go into school, because I'm glad you want to, but only go in if you have a specific purpose - ie, there are questions you want answered, or you want to work towards a particular outcome'. So he said 'Well, I dunno really, I just want to find out what's gone on'. :wall:
And he wonders why I feel like I'm on my own in all this. He's cross with me now because he was 'trying to help me' - which I do get - but I don't want him to do something that is ultimately pointless, and might actually do more harm than good.
Oh, and I have to go and pick him up because he's lent his car to his friend (who is driving on his own insurance, so only 3rd party on Stu's car), and now his friend has disappeared and isn't answering his phone (and hasn't been for the last few hours)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Snaggles,
My lovely friend.
(((hugs)))
Please tell Ryan we love him and I will talk to you later. xEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
you seriously couldn't make this up
I have a lovely little phone contract with orange, it costs me £3 a month, dirt cheap calls etc. My bill is never more than £8 or £9 a month. I got it when I did a bit of work for a company about 5 years ago when I was going through a bit of a lean patch session wise.
Anyway, I got a text saying that the company in question is leaving orange and if i wanted to keep my number I needed to request a PAC code. So, feeling miserable about it, I did. I went out, sorted out another phone contract at £40 a month and only this morning called to port my number.
10 minutes after making the port my number call, I get a text saying, sorry this was a mistake, please ignore the previous message.
So, now I have my lovely orange contract with no number and a £40 a month one I don't want.:A

Big dodgy hug for Snags! (Can't find the smilie either)#
Back from town, had my meeting with the homeless prevention officer and got this form to go on the property pool list. Though I couldn't hand it in coz I didn't have my proof of address on me. So I went in to YPAS (youth group thing) for a coffee and a sit down, then came home.
Just gonna see if there is somewhere closer I can hand it in to instead of heading back into town Monday. My poor hip's been acting up again. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

Toto - if you did it over the phone is it covered by distance selling and you can cancel within 7 days??0

Becky has a point there, it could be cancelled and you could port your number back. I hope so at any road because you have a great contract there.
Why am I so cold? It's a bright sunny, shiny day!Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.

Thanks guys.
As Stu was willing to go into school, I asked him to just go in and ask for the letter they have to provide by law when your child is excluded.
He was told that a letter wasn't available as the head hasn't got around to doing it yet because he is busy doing interviews. Which means Ryan is illegally excluded from school. I'm not sure if that will help our case, but it can't harm it.
No call from the exclusions department yet though, and no call back from the local support group. Frustrating how slowly things happen, but as it's unlikely we will make further progress today, we will put it behind us now and look forward to Natasha's birthday tomorrow.
Bunny - love you too sweetie, very glad you are here x"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I've decided I will go back into town on Monday to get this form handed in, mainly because ypas has free massages on a monday and I want one! It took this poor massauese a long time to build my trust enough to let her do more than a hand massage and now I can't get enough of proper massages.
I am warming myself up with a coffee, wish I could say it's decafe but no....Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. I drink way too much coffee.
