Just been haggling with Vodafone and got no joy whatsoever. I was hoping to get a good deal on a HTC Sensation but they wouldn't budge from £31 per month for 600 mins with £99 charge for the handset. Currently I pay £20.50 for 600 mins. So that wasn't a particularly great deal. I asked for my PAC code as I told them I'd have to leave if they couldn't bring the cost down and they put me through to disconnections who just offered me the code. Charming!0

I am coming to the end of my contract with Carphone warehouse at the end of this month. I pay £22 a month for 300 mins and 300 texts and unlimited internet...I want unlimited everything and also another free blackberry...How can I go about this and find the best deal and not pay that much more with the current deal...please can someone help me0

I think it is absolutely unrealistic to expect "everything unlimited" with a free new phone for £22.0

I don't mind going upto £30 but I have been a loyal customer surely they will do me a do deal somehow...I could go to 500mins but I need unlimited texts for sure and definitely need a new handset...0

Loyalty doesn't count much nowadays.
Check what they offer on their website for the new and upgrading customers.
If your contract is with CPW, not with a network, I don't know how this works as they don't offer new contracts anymore. However, what you see on offer for other networks is a good and realistic starting point.0 -
The tesco mobile deals for sim only are good.
Need to work out the cost if you need the new phone as well.
With sim only you can buy the phone sim free.
Rather than high monthly cost this can work out cheaper.
For example if you are going for 18 month deal, find out the sim only price per month and times by 18. Add the cost of mobile and divide by 18. This will be the cost per month.
Also sim free phones have a higher sell price on eBay.0 -

May I suggest to do this simpler?

I'm in the process of trying to upgrade my phone. I currently have a couple of months left on my current contract with Orange. The best deal that I've seen so far for the phone and tariff that I want is on the Dialaphone website, but this is only for new connections. When I spoke to their upgrade team, they said this was only an option if I cancelled my current contract, and started a new contract through them. This would mean I would lose my current number. Is this right? Is there any way of transferring your number without being classed as an "upgrader", and only being eligible for Upgrade deals?0
