At last!! Looks lovely, V. Just leave it to hang and then either steam of very cool iron on WRONG side of fabric. Use a sheet or pillowcase between iron and organza if not to confident of contact between fabric and iron.

    xx

It's GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!! You lucky lucky girl! You made a great choice. Was the stress worth it??

And if you think that's a mess, you should see my bedroom. The wardrobe goes by a different name.... the floor!!!! :-)
Had to do a wee bit of cropping thats my dd's bedroom it's better & brighter than mine. Wouldn't it be brill if you could just crop the mess & junk out of the house!!
Thankyou everyone think I need a lie down, a drink & some painkillers :rotfl: but as oh & dd will be home in an hour I can't, where on earth am I going to put my dress???? thought about hanging it with a duvet over but those wee ribbons wont take the strain!!
    Booo!!!

There are thin ribbon straps halfway down the inside of the bodice, too heavy to hang it up with??
Our iron has a powerful steam vertical thingy:confused: so you can iron things hanging up so think that would do, but the folds in the bit over the organze is going to prove a problem, they have caught it with a wee stitch though.
Right I'm going to hide my dress somehow then go out & get some fresh air.:j I'll be back later though Luv Vi :grouphug:xxx ( that is supposed to be a hug to you all but it looks well dodgy:rotfl:)
    Booo!!!

Here's an idea, I did it with my old dress. (nearly married once :-)

Take a large carrier bag and place the dress inside it. Put the dress on a hanger with the duvet over it if you like, and put the handles of the bag on the hanger. No one will see it, it may get a little creased but it's ok until you find somewhere else to put it, and it will be safe and will stay clean.

    Hope this helps.
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)
  • I'm so glad you got it Violetta :D It looks amazing.. I can't wait to see pics :D

    Hi Violetta,

I've been following your thread and am so pleased for you, the dress looks lovely!

I'm sure you've got other things on your mind, but your back up dress is just the sort of the thing I'm looking for, and I was wondering if you could tell me where you got it?
