Should I leave negative feedback?

I buy 10 things a day from ebay, and sell about the same so I know what I am doing thanks. :rolleyes:No, sorry. If you don't read the listing where it's all stated (and according to OP it was stating that it's "sample") then you just seriously shouldn't buy stuff on Ebay.
You should be one of those people who only shop in the actual shops where they can see the real item displayed. Not even Argos shopping.
Yes the OP probably should have asked, but I still think it's misleading, especially as I regularly get "samples" that are half or quarter sized.
It's obvious that this is just another private seller taking advantage and misleading buyers. It's bad for all sellers as ebay do compensate for the overchargers on postage in the FVFs they charge us all. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

Where did you read that the OP dated it was a sample size in the listing?
She's said it was sample size, in post 9, but never that it was stated in the listing, so it's a bit early to be name calling.
Where did you read that "name" I called the OP?
The OP said "small toiletry item".
All I am saying is that if he wants to have a go at the seller for misleading about the size of the item then it's fair enough.
But he doesn't. He wants to have a go at the postage cost.
If someone rated seller saying "the postage cost is a bit high" I would think to myself - well I can see how much they are charging me postage so it's not really applicable to me. I can read.
If someone left feedback - misleading listing, then I would think twice about the purchase.0 -

But the listing was misleading then! Not the postage charge! For the misleading listing is fair enough to leave negative feedback.
That is my point all along.0 -
Yes, it was, and listing it as a high post cost probably helped towards them thinking it was bigger. But the listing was misleading then! Not the postage charge! For the misleading listing is fair enough to leave negative feedback.

That's my only point really, but you're right- feedback with comments about size would be more effective than comments about p+p.This is my opinion. They might take the cost of petrol to get to the post office to post your parcel into account. i know i do, as i lve quite rurally and i don't post tons of stuff at the same time, usually just the odd one-off. i have to account for the petrol otherwise i would lose money on most of my sold items!0

And this is one of the reasons that eBay are pushing towards "inclusive"/"free" P&P...
If it makes it harder for the smaller hobby/personal seller to make a profit and forces them elsewhere, then it makes more room for the volume business sellers.
For example - a business seller may calculate an average cost for all the trips to the post office and build it ionto their overall operating margin, regardless of number of items sold per trip. A private seller would sell one item, then try to cover the entire parking/petrol in that one sale.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
