I've had a look at the DigIn website and they are very helpful with calendar, videos etc, so I'm quite reassured.
They suggest planting an early crop of salad leaves (tomorrow!) so I'll get to do something this weekend, and I also realised that I haven't got any tomato seeds so might try and hunt some down and plant these this weekend too. I'm not too keen on tomatoes but OH likes them and took them to work with his lunch.
Money wise all ok, nothing in or out. The npower home energy monitor arrived this morning - first freebie that OH looked impressed at! I'm not sure if its a good thing to have in place when the youngsters are home  although it will show them what all the different appliances use. Ebay is very slow - 5 items have one watcher and one has one bid - I hope it all perks up a bit.
I made 5 cards yesterday, did a bit of cross-stitch and finished my book - so fab day. Also did the ironing so that's out of the way. Today or tomorrow OH and I will dust and hoover, I'm on top of the laundry for once so a weekend without thinking about that!

Planting a few seeds is on my 'to do' list for this coming week too. It's quite theraputic wathcing them grow. Have also promised myself a crafty day once dh goes back to work next week.
We have just had out payday changed from last day to 28th of the month - so it went in yesterday cos of week-end which I think will make next month a rather long month - so I have been good and resisted the urge to go out today.
Hope the finances s-t-r-e-t-c-h a few more days for you.

Lemon Tree - Diavolo is Deceased! Was there a party on another thread that I missed? A million congratulations :T What is Norty Norbert... apart from the next one to go?
I really enjoyed my card making on Friday (it has been ages) and finished the cross stitch last night so will try and find time to make that into a card this afternoon. Milann & LT I hope you both spend some enjoyable time.
No change on the money front - nothing in or out. I have 7 items finishing on ebay today; one has bids and four have watchers, so we'll see how that goes.
OH made a raised bed in the garden yesterday, its an (early) birthday present and is quite splendid. It will be our veg patch. Its great having the free BBC seeds as there is not much I will need to buy at all - every penny really needs to go to paying off the card before it runs out of 0% rate.
Cheers all

After quite a poor night's sleep I overslept this morning, I couldn't believe it when I rolled over in bed and it was 9.45! I woke up twice in the night with really strange dreams so I guess I was recouping the sleep lost - either that or my body clock has gone back an hour instead. I had planned to go to the gym and do loads this morning - and the morning is nearly gone!
I've done clicks, banks and a couple of comps. The other bit of money has gone in from expenses for vol work so that's another little bit of the CC but otherwise nothing to report. I need to post one ebay parcel and get another weighed to go to France so will pop in the post office later. I'm also getting my hair cut, which always feels more like a chore than a treat - does that make me a bit odd?!
Cheers all

The day before payday, and all is well! Thankfully, joint account is in credit by about £6, and the joint 'savings' account, that money goes into out the way and I syphon back as required, still has £75 in!! I was so worried this month about going overdrawn, but fortunately being [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] prudent has worked. Clicks, banking etc all done and all in order.
Today I have a friend coming round for coffee and to admire my new raised bed. She is a friend with an allotment and several years head start in the veg growing department so I'm hoping she'll advise on the plans for the garden.
I'm also waiting for the parcel delivery that should have come last Friday ; the only good thing is it is for a mystery shop so the horrendous way the couriers have managed this is being logged and noted, and hopefully it will get fed back to the companies who commission the work.
Otherwise a chilled day; another ebay parcel to post later, and maybe plant some of the seeds - not sure if I should wait if we're in for another cold spell?
Cheers all

CBM i didn't really have a party on any thread about the demise of Diavolo, got excited on friday but then got home too late to pay it off so it had to be done on Saturday. Norty Norbert is my Northern Rock loan which is the next to face my wrath. Hope you continue to enjoy your time off, sometimes sleeping in is good for you so don't feel bad about it.0

Lemon Tree - love the nick names for the loans - you have got me thinking for names for my cards/loans - they are not vanishing as quickly as I hoped this year - I've lost the plot a bit - must do better!!!
CBM - what are you going to plant - I want dh to make me raised boxes above my wheelie bins for picking salad type leaves - we saw some on a gardening programme last year and it seemed like a good idea - just need to get dh to put the thoughts we had into action tho - easier said than done LOL. My garden has been taken over (with my permission of course) by dh's train track - I do like it as it is a bit of an attraction but I miss my digging and gardening rather than just tickling plants we have with hand fork and pruning - as that is really all it takes as we put anti weed stuff down and have slow growing, small plants to look right with the scale of the train. Before the train track dh never showed any interest in the garden - so I didn't quite expect he to keep his interest going. I have all my fruit and veg in tubs now but it's not quite the same. Really need a bigger garden with room for both but unless I hi-jack next door not a lot of chance LOL

Hi Milann, a train track sounds lovely, is this the size of the hornby ones you see on TV? Fab to have it going all round the garden - are there tunnels and things (yet?!)
In the raised bed I'm going to try and grow french beans and sweet peas along the back, carrots and one tomato plant in the middle, and salad leaves / spinach at the front. I've also got courgette seeds (from DigIn) so may plant them behind the garage now its been tidied a bit. I'm quite excited really- little things and all that :rotfl:
Lemon - I don't fancy Norty's chances much, you're doing really well with the debt busting!

Payday :T and got money through from Amazon and also the edgital money cleared. Net result is I've paid of another chunk of credit card and current balance on the card is £700 :j:j or 95.4% paid off.
I now need to make some hard decisions about the balance, as the 0% rate runs out on 28th. I will probably have half of it by about the 22nd as I'll get paid a few hours from job #2 and some more from edigital, but unless there is some miracle I don't expect anything else until payday at the end of the month - I need to work out where is cheapest to have the balance for a few days.
