    Afternoon

No wonder it's quiet here, everyone is reading the Dave thread!!! Just finished reading myself :) suppose I should get something done here and not while away the rest of the day in front of the screen!

'Fraid I'm guilty of wasting half the day (or so it seems!) reading that one too! :D

Must find my lists & update them with the few bits I have managed to get done today!

Friday's list was about attacking a neglected room - well, I blitzed my garage. I wouldn't exactly say it was neglected - in fact, the problem was quite the opposite: loads of stuff just dumped in there, any old place, any old way - so the tidying and organising bit had certainly been neglected. I'd try to get a bike out and six other things would fall on top of me, or I'd approach the freezer and have to climb over a bag of potatoes and a bucket and mop. But now...well, it is a clean, shiny (well, okay, not shiny, but clean anyway) garage, with a place for everything and everything in its place - so.....

I shall have a star for attacking my neglected garage please :-D

    - I'm ashamed to say that I don't know how to knit :o although I can imagine that it is quite theraputic and relaxing (and productive, which is always good!). Its a good idea. How easy would it be to teach myself do you think?

There are videos on You tube which show you the basics. You could start with simple squares of different colours (or even the same colour!) that you could stitch together to make a cot blanket or shawl.

Where do you live? County will do - if you're not too far from me, I'd be happy to come and visit and give you a couple of hours lessons.

And big hugs for your Dad and all of you. This next couple of weeks is going to be very stressful for you all. I'll be thinking of you.

embb - I usually have at least 3 books on the go at any time. At the moment, there's a fiction one in my bed (the main characters have severe learning difficulties so very relevant to me), and 2 in the front room - one light-hearted comedy sort and one info book - that I dip into as and when. Oh, and Reader's Digest in the bathroom! Guess I'm crackers too :p

Abbie - hugs and prayers for you and all your family. The scan must be very exciting :D And well done to granny and grandad for making the shopping so important for DS :D

    I'm now going to cook a large stir-fry for tonight's and tomorrow's dinners :T

Well HALF of the utility room is done... DW emptied and stuff put away. A few more bits put in the DW. Lots of stuff thrown out/recycled - I have to stop feeling guilty about wasting stuff!

Still can't find my yoga mat

Hex - probably best not to let me loose in your garden... you might not get the desired result ;) My garden currently looks fantastic from a distance (lilacs, the end of the tulips & bluebells, aqueligias, irises, dicentra, clematis in the apple tree and lots of greenery). Close up, it's full of weeds and close to collapse! Sadly, although it's not a particularly big garden (40' x 60' ish...) it's too big for me to manage on my own :o and my new clematis has wilted

Does anyone want any mechanical kitchen scales? They're the add & weigh kind - circular, with a moveable dial round the edge, and the bowl fits over the top. Oh, and they're green...
