We only live a few miles away so it's a fairly regular haunt of ours - I take it you know about the cheap food stall at the very front, literally facing onto the car park? Brilliant for cheap crisps, snacks and cereals. When the Walkers limited flavours were first out they were selling them for 5 of the big bags (50g?) for £1 - and they often have the 150g packs of sensations etc for 2 for £1.
Ohhh, didn't see that, we must have missed it - usually we do the meat and F&V stalls, and then have a wander and try not to buy anythingThanks for the update, I will check it out next time, lucky you living so close... (it's about 30 mins from us, although took us an hour on Saturday because of accident at the A12...

I need to look around there properly, but we never seem to have the time, it's massive isn't it - the second hand section is usually pretty good though...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -
Two parcels now (badly) packed up, ready to post on Wednesday
Jo - yours won't fit through a letter box, so unless your postie knows where to leave stuff I'm afraid you'll have to pick it up. It does look a bit strange as I've had to manufacture the packaging from what I had in the house!
I'm making progress, slowly but surely, in the utility room... suppose I should go back there :rolleyes:0 -

DH has kinda done the table, it's still a bit messy but much better than it was. He's got a really bad headache, so I'm trying not to be too hard on him, especially as I ended up shouting at him earlier!
I came home from the meeting and he had put a chair behind the door with the laptop on it, so I couldn't get in. I got it open enough to put my head round and say can you let me in, and he gave me a really dirty look, stretched lazily and then came over and moved it enough for me to get the door open but not get inside.
Anyway, eventually I got in, and the place is just a mess. He's been moving things around, the kitchen is a tip, the stuff he 'tidied' off the table is all over the bed...I kind of lost it and asked if he goes out of his way to be as uncooperative as possible and told him he seems to delight in making mess and I've been working hard to make it a nice place to live and it's futile as he just wrecks it.
I calmed down and a bit later presented him with the things he'd left on the bed, I said I think this is yours, he said it's all rubbish apart from that and that, and I said here you are then, and he said what do I want that for? I got a bit hysterical and said to throw away, you can't just move it from one place to another!
Feel a bit bad about it as he's ill, but I'm just so fed up with his slovenly ways!
Sorry to rant, just needed to get it off my chest. I think it was the look he gave me when I asked him to let me in, it was like I was being really rotten to him by asking him to move the chair!

I've had a reasonably productive day. Washed my bedding (decided not to do it yesterday before I left for London because the weather looked a bit iffy). It's been a fantastic drying day. It was on the line at 10am and back on the bed by 2pm. Also dysoned and dusted the bedroom too.
Spent a couple of hours sorting out the photos I took yesterday and taking some more for my weekly OU assignment.
Also did a HHG - everything seems to have gone mad in the last week. The mint is threatening to take over one bed so I've pulled a lot up. How do you get rid of mint?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi everyone, have been MIA for the last few days due to my IBS playing up something chronic and then i went up to Liverpool yesterday to watch Spurs play - it really wasn't worth the 8 hours driving for the game but caught up with a few northern based football mates so all in all an enjoyable day!
Today has been pretty productive, the sunshine really is a great motivator! So far we have:
* Taken my niece to her swimming lesson at 8am this morning.
* Had a lovely breakfast of egg and soldiers - eggs given to us by a lovely lady up the road who keeps chooks.
* Spent a few hours at the allotment, everything seems to be thriving so hoping for a good haul this year.
* Stripped and remade all bedding - everything is drying on the line now!
* Hoovered all through downstairs and upstairs.
* Brush and moped all floors.
* Next door neighbour is just starting up a window cleaning business so he's done the outside of all the windows front and back.
* Washed all the dogs blankets and toys - which she isn't overly impressed with as she works pretty hard at making them smell just the way she likes, so half of them are now in the garden with her showing her disapproval.
* Had a roast pork dinner.
* Sorted through my wardrobe and thrown out everything that doesn't fit anymore - i WILL lose weight and think i deserve a new wardrobe when i do
My niece is now finishing off her homework sat at the table in the garden whilst my parents are doing bits and pieces out there, so thought i'd jump on here and catch up with you all.
Hugs to Toots, pigpen and all others who need/want them!
Off to catch up with you all properly now and see if i can find my lists to see if i've managed anymore stars!0 -
How do you get rid of mint?
Dusty hope your teeth/jaw are better soon and you feel calmer soon. I am a terrible worrier too, and rescue remedy is great, so is distracting yourself! And a hug from DH would also help xx
rosepink just don't throw the veg peelings into the crate with all the other things
has he finished the table yet?!?
Jo, you are so funny! Just read your post from this morning about being drunk, it’s hilarious! Re teeth, how old is your LO?
Polly I’m trying to imagine cats doing wrestling, but have failed. Do they do this often?
Valli, hugs but I bet the walking was worth it! Your poor aching legs tho
Flower, have you ever seen Keeping Mum? You could use the solution in that to the barking dog problem
I'm feeling very  and can't work out why. Probably a combination of needing sleep and needing food. Right now, I just want to kill everyone but am trying not to talk much as it's not (entirely) DH's fault that I feel this way so it's not fair to take it out on him."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
