Just remembered I'm meant to be doing HHSew! I got distracted by Twitter! :o

Am off to do it now! Hopefully the sewing won't be too much of a slog as I will be entertained by BGT! :p

Hex, your post made me gasp and DH asked me what is wrong. I thought it quite funny (altho it's a sad situation, don't get me wrong) that you didn't tell your kids about the dog, and it took them 10 days to notice! LOL!

DS1 finally noticed today the absence of Masie dog who was put to sleep last week! DS2 still hasn't noticed! Not bad for ten days is it? I know she didn't often come out of her bed in the last few weeks but still.... Better than them being upset though, but upsetting to find DS1 shouting her in the garden when she is gone.

Hugs Hex, I have to go with my Mum to have my old dog put down on Monday - not looking forward to it and would have normally passed the buck on to someone else for something like that, but have to be there for my Mum though. :(

Does remind me of when my DD was about 4 though, she had a pet rabbit and it got out of it's hutch one day and we didn't know and the dog was in the garden - really sadly he chased and caught it, and I will say no more. DD was at school at the time, so after a few tears from me and sending hubby out to sort out the garden (no way I was doing it) we had to come up with a story for when she got home... well.... we told her that the rabbit had got out and had gone to one tree hill (our open space here) to be with his family - then we took her up there and went walking through the woodland trails looking for rabbits and guess who we spotted, her baby rabbit running around with his family... it was a treat to see her face light up that her baby was with his family, she was over the moon and what could have been a really sad day turned into something special for her, it wasn't till YEARS later (last year actually) that we told her the truth... :rotfl:

I haven't got chance to read all the posts - so hugs to those who need them.

We are trying to watch 'Australia', and I lasted about 10 minutes. What a lot of old tosh!

I'm all excited - my peas have sprouted! And a couple of the tomato seeds! Nothing doing on the pumpkins though or the peppers. I'll have to start earlier next year I think

I thought it was funny too afterwards :o. I told him she had gone to a rest home for old dogs which he accepted quite happily. They are only 4 and 6.

ooh, my BIL just rang to say that their cat has had 3 kittens today. I wonder if any are ginger, and just how grateful DH is for my help today.... :p

    Flower - hugs for Monday.

Well there's a glowing recommendation... Australia is less interesting than watching pea seedlings! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I don't think I'll bother with it... :D

Toots - what do the colours of the stars mean? I thought at first you were alternating them, but some have two the same colour next to each other - or is it just random?

    evening flyers,

at work today so all thats been done from my weekend list is the dusting, floors will get done after church tomorrow.

rosepink - just wanted to say well done, it's been about a month since i was regularly posting and what a lot you've achieved - i remember when you first 'appeared' on here and the baby steps you were taking look like giant-sized ones now. p.s. i'm still knitting i really enjoy it i find its a good way to wind down before bed.

mojt - i think you perfectly justified in 'vetting' the girlfriend if she's new she'll be on 'best behaviour' around dh at the moment but x2 young children who could be upset just by her being there would be a test of anyones abilities and you need to be sure the lo's are safe and happy in her company.

    hugs

I'm bored... can't be bothered to do anything on my list

Now... should I watch a DVD or have a bath?

Somehow I don't think I'll be wide awake and raring to go in the morning. I'd hoped to go swimming, then for a workout, then to yoga, but I suspect I won't feel like making the effort. I haven't even done my physio today...

Emily I have never been married for 11 years, so I'm not in a position to comment. Sorry to poke my oar in. Hope your cold gets better. Soz.:o
