Actually looks promising. Any chance you could get to the woods and retrieve any stuff that might have sentimental value?

We have considered it, but don't think there's much chance of finding it.

The woods is over a huge area and he won't have left anything in view (I suspect he's buried it or hidden it VERY well). Plus with the weather we had over the weekend, any sort of path will be washed away =/

We will ask him if he can tell us roughly where it is, but still no guarantee we'll find it. I don't think there's anything sentimental (as he threw a lot away years ago :() but more his 'kit' that he may want.

Hello freakygore, i know you've not posted for a while but hope all is ok. I've had the same experience with G/F but all happened quickly, ie i could see the symptoms of anxiety building to a psychotic episode increase over a week. I dropped her of voluntarily (after being advised by crisis mental health team that she either went in voluntarily or they'd apply for a section) knowing she'd be sectioned (in fact I hoped she would as she needed the help & i was struggling to cope!). She's making a good recovery now but I still have huge issues about the sectioning, what she's been through, guilt, etc & hope to have some help for this soon. The meds they give him do take 4-6 weeks to kick in. My thoughts are with you...& update us if you can!

    Hi,

Thanks for your post and sorry I haven't replied sooner.

Well we visitd him every week and either went for lunch, a picnic (when it wasn't raining!) or just went shopping. He seemed quiet, but ok being there (he could have quite easily run away if he wanted when we were out one day!)

He has left the hospital now (beginning of this month) but no one told us which was a bit annoying. My sister found out when she text him and apparently he told the hospital he would tell us, so they didn't have to.
We haven't seen him since then, but do keep in contact and he seems to be in some sort of housing so at least he's safe. He has internet access as well so he must be somewhere better than a tent!

Not sure if any of it really helped to be honest as we seem to be back at square one?

I'm hoping to go and see him this/next week. Did plan on meeting him yesterday but he had something else to do, so will see what he's like when I/we see him.

That's good to hear! I assume he's no some sort of medication? Did they give a diagnosis at all? The main thing is that if he's been in hospital he's now 'in the system' so to speak. So, if there was any 'relapse' the treatment would come much quicker. I'd assume they've set up a Community Psychiatric Nurse to see him weekly? Anyway...you've done great in getting him in to the system!
