Hi poppycat,
As we now have a greenfingered board I'll move this thread across so that the gardening experts will see it and hopefully be able to help.

Thanks I just found out in greenfinger forums what plant it was and then did a search and found this thread wonder if the solutions mentioned worked0

Thought I'd bump this up and see if anyone had any other Greenfingered ideas on how to get rid of weeds in a gravel garden! It's looking more like a forest at the moment and I need something quick and cheap! Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
Is there anyway of keeping weeds at bay in a vegetable patch other than constantly removing these? It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0

To be fair, round up is less damaging in general of all other herbicides its inert when it hits the soil!, it was invented to the task at hand!!!
Love the hot water idea, yeah it cooks the plants breaking down the cells that are growing, thats how blow torches work too, heat the cell up bit like being in a microwave.
I think its great that hot water, fire and those come into their own for weeds.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
My Grandad had a lovely garden and he swore that if you use a woman's wee it kills weeds and if you use a man's wee it fertilises the garden - think I will stick to vinegarBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
