Beautiful words Fay (the poem bit I meant
)
My entire life has gone down the pan and someone's come along and flushed it, nothing has happened, I've picked up a drink that's all and it makes me feel as though everything is wrong. I'm not depressed, I've got nothing to be sad about, in fact I'm fine but I keep doing it to myself over and over again, drinking then feeling like the world has come to an end when I wake up. I wish it would stop, I wanna get off now.
Budge, sorry, can't update you on the numbers cos I have no recollection of how many days I've been drinking for, I think you have me as 14 which could be right, or might not be, I'll have to trawl through the 47 pages of thread later to add it up. Could you scrap my target as it became unachieveable a week or so ago and just makes me sad looking at it. I'm happy with the days I've notched up though, my liver must get all excited then think 'oh booger' when I chuck the next onslaught down my neck!
Right, a new day, new resolve, I need someone to take me away to a place where there's no alcohol and no temptation.
Sorry for the depressing post

Hi everybody :hello:
I hope everybody who had a few drinks last night really enjoyed them and DO NOT FEEL GUILTY TODAY!!! I was AF last night cos I gave my DD1 a lift to a party at 11:00, but don't know if I'm AF or non-AF tonight, we'll see how I feel. Not bovvered if I decide to treat myself - it'll only be the 2nd night this week anyway, guv. :beer:
I as usual will be working on my latest freelance project this pm while my DDs are all out. I work freelance to be around for my family, which is great - able to to go orthodontist appointments, take books to school they've forgotten, be here for them in hols and when they come home from school. But it's SO TEDIOUS and LONELY working from home stuck to my computer all the time!!! :mad: There, I've said it. I play tennis a couple of times a week to see other people and some of the mums from school - but couldn't last week cos I had a really foul deadline - GRRRRR. So it's great to be able to virtually talk away to you lot and have a laugh :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl: Must get the washing out and then onwards with this boring old project .....Total AFD's May-December 2009: 178 ie 73% of total days (245 days)

That's what i need, a holiday, it sounds lovely!!!! I can pitch my tent in the garden:j
The moderation bench was just that and i've been up early cakes in oven now, new school shoes bought, tidying the house and ready for next load of uni work. That's what i like about moderation, you can have a good day afterwards onward and upward

Hi all- hope you are feeling OK today, special hugs to stroppy, try not to be too anxious, although I know that must be hard.
Fay, your life sounds mad, 'slug chucking'- is that the gardening equivalent of 'tossing the caber' in your parts? I'm gonna go outside and chuck a few and measure how far they go- as people have said, us AF peeps have a lot of time to fill now, and loads of energy too so we need to keep busy.
Have a great weekend everyone- hugs to those that need it and those that don't! (thanks Budgie, you are doing a great job)0 -
Feeling more positive, DD1's making the bacon sarnies, think I'll feel better once I've eaten, only managed 2 coffee and a berocca so far...
Would love to visit Fay in Orkney, hope she don't mind us all setting up camp in her garden :rotfl:
I'll try and get out in the garden later once the booze fuzz goes though they say it's gonna rain heavy down here today.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
