I recently joined this group & have found the comments very helpful. I am aiming for 12 AFD this month, done 5 so far. Good luck, Kudzo from Holland & Barrett very useful, heavy drinker for 20 years. Never had so many AF days in that period. I drink mainly at the weekend, rather than during the week.

Good Luck! We are all here in the same boat, some have long journeys, others short. (However, when somone says come in "Boat number 6,", your scuppered!)

    Morning all

I hope everyones well - 'wagon on or wagon off' :)

Going to go all smushy on you. Been thinking about why I scoff so much vino-collapso - when you are trying not to it does seem to be all you think about doesnt it??

So I got to thinking who was I blotting out by my nice glass of switch off stuff - kids, OH and generally the rest of the world. Its when things get too much, or not too much or just life gets on top of me.

So have thought about this alot as I am feeling a bit perturbed (?) wrong word - better one is strange and unsettled.

SO I got to thinking why - I think its cos like most folk we carry our own burdens along ourselves not saying much even when things are terrible and so - I found this in an email the other day and I thought thats it - its the thought of someone being there for moral support - 24/7. Whether its a partner, a loved one, kids, or lovely folks on a forum. It just helps to know someone's out there not being judgemental.

To be able to be completely honest is such a lovely thing to be able to do and I think thats how I have unburdened myself. Well done guys!! Thanks :)

Whilst I know I dont want to bother you all at 4am - I know that I can post and say how I am feeling and struggling and one of you will come along and be nice, laugh, joke, or tell me its all OK. Tell me today is a new day and to like myself.

So I love this poem - about feeling loved and cherished. Sorry for the smush. I hope we can all say we have someone to carry or someone is carrying us.

I carry your heart with me
I carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)
    I am never without it
(Anywhere i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)

I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet)
I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
And it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
And whatever a sun will always sing is you

Here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(Here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky
    Of a tree called life;
Which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
And this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)

PS I have lost another lb - maybe its gone to my head???
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
