cheeky mare! pot....kettle....black (oh no! that colour again!)

    40sm thanks for the tip.

Rang the school & said she can stay after if she wants so feel a bit less guilty, but still feel ever so tearful. Must be TOTM (yes, MP, even at my age, the problem being I forget when it is :rotfl:)

115K - coo, good luck with that one! I know what you mean with the binge / abstain cycle. I would find it impossible to decide to give up completely though so admire your decision hugely. When I was constantly trying to give up smoking I found that if I gave up trying to stop & resigned myself to being a lifelong smoker I smoked a lot less as I was more relaxed about it & not under "threat" of "having" to stop (it was mychoice, my choice....). I sometimes wonder if that would work for the drinking as well....but different drug, I know really that it won't. It would be good to take the regular (daily) binge out of the equation though. This is heresy on here no doubt but the occasional one is great imo!

I'm trying to stand in for Budgie today with extra-long posts :D

    Hope you're OK Jo x

Hi everyone, another af evening for me last night, despite OH asking if I was going to drink anything and then pouring himself a beer!
So 3 AFD for so far this month.

I'm feeling like I don't even want any wine on Fri or Sat as it starts the spiral of every day drinking off again but I need to learn the meaning of the word moderation!!

Been told this morning that I have to lose at least 2 stone before we will get IVF on NHS (even though I also need to be 18 months older as well). am sort of in 2 minds now - bit upset that I'm still not pg but pleased with myself that at least I am doing something positive about it.

    Well done to everyone else
    xx

Just popping in. Day off today so i have taken my Kudzu early. I would normally drink with lunch....then carry on when i am off-duty.

Meeting my husband for tea in Manchester later and i already feel like i want a glass of wine with my meal BUT i have made the full commitment for this month with you all and i really want to stick with it. Would just one hurt? No, it wouldnt but it wouldn't just stay at one would it? It might if i didn't buy any more, but then no, once i have the taste i will sulk if i can't get more so no, i won't have ANY. Thats the way forward.......and so my head has talked to itself all morning. I am driving myself insane with it.....So i may as well have a drink. See??? It has started again

Thankyou to alllllllllllllllllllll of u who are here and who have made such a positive difference in my resolve :A:A:A
