I'm doing really badly. I still have had only two days AF and I haven't lost any weight yet.
Maz, I know how you feel, I identified very much with that post. Well done for pouring the wine away.
So today I plan to pick myself up, try and get through another hungover day without beating myself up too much and start afresh tomorrow. I am also planning not to drink tonight - that is my step 1. Will do step 1 and then think about tomorrow tomorrow. I am not a bad person if I get drunk when I don't plan to. It's not the end of the world that I'm hungover from drinking too much yesterday. I would prefer it now if I hadn't but I can't change what I did yesterday. I will try to change today instead. Plus there was a drunken pizza involved last night to help my weight loss this week.My OH is convinced it's not the alcohol calories that put weight on it's the junk I eat when I'm drunk. I think he might be right too!
Glasgowgirl, well done for drinking and being unhungovered, I envy you today!
Fluffy bishop and different corner joining you two in coming off the naughty bench now...
Nelski, I need to do better this week too, good luck.
Open screen, good luck to you too, I'll be in a hotel room most of this week too and know how that goes. Hope there's good stuff on telly/ I have a book in my bag. Hope there is internet somewhere too.
Steve, Welcome and good luck for achieving what you want to in the rest of May.
Hugs all. I will be back here on Monday 18th to report back, earlier if I can find a cheap 'puter.0 -

Have been attempting to drink more water and generally look after myself a bit better but I always forget!
Have also been very green fingered of late as when we moved we now have a lovely big garden, not really sure what im doing but have planted some seeds (which I stare at intently every day)but nothings grown yet!
I also buy lots of ready grown stuff as I get a result straight away....Im very impatient!
Though all my herbs have grown in the kitchen window which im ridiculously excited about!

Hi guys - have been in no-pc-land for 4 days but back online (in work
) now, about 10 pages to catch up on!
Am making new start tomorrow - a few of us are this week it seems. Never start a diet on a Monday!
We went out on the boat yesterday, & the water in the marina is so low it was virtually sat on the bottom so OH told me to go up front to balance up the weight, I thought he was taking the mick but the boat moved off! So my stomach may not be overly attractive but it's useful as ballast.
Anyway, I'm having an MOT this week - sight test, dentist & haircut so seems a good cue to try & shape up all round. I don't want to be ballast!!!
Hi to everyone & welcome newbies.0 -
Thanks Guys for your warm welcomes!!
Have got the day off today so am going to get some plants out into the garden (sounds like I've come to the right place for that as well!!)...was going to paint the fence but am not overly enthused about that!!:D0 -

It is the song: Country Comforts by Rod Stewart, its from the Gasoline Alley album. My signature says if you ever feel alone then travel back on the road that brings you home :-)
It is because I miss my Darling son and when he was 21. I made him a special birthday card with a poem I wrote as the verse.
Strange thing was this song was playing when I was writing it and so thats the reason that I have it on my signature
Just so as my son knows that I will always be here for him and I love him very, very much.
So lots of love Angel and I hope you get to listen to it?
God bless

Hi all – long time lurker stepping forward. :hello:I feel like I know you all and have been following your progress.
I managed 3 AF’s in a row last week and was feeling really good, very positive about life and happy. Today I am sitting at my desk at work with the hangover from hell, feeling jittery and anxious and nauseous and my mood is extremely low. I’ve decided to shame myself and detail how much booze I got through this weekend –
Friday not too bad – just one bottle of wine.
Saturday – bit worse one and half bottles of wine. (incidentally I put the empty bottle in garage and OH was very impressed when he came home from a night out and thought I had just had the half bottle – I didn’t correct him).
Yesterday – this is where it all goes a bit wild -despite waking up feeling like carp and promising myself an AF. Lovely sunny day – lounging in garden and my mind automatically goes in to ‘relaxing in sun = lovely relaxing drinky’ mode. Still kidding myself that today is going to be controlled I opt for one bottle of beer (just because it is refreshing of course:rolleyes:). First beer at 1.30pm. That slipped down a treat so I have another. After 3rd beer I decide that I may as well finish the half bottle of wine that I had left the night before. After I finish this half bottle I open a new bottle and have the whole thing. 3 beers, bottle and half of wine and I’m still not ready to call it a day despite it being late and me tired and up for work at 5.45am next morning. So I then start helping myself to my boyfriends red wine. I don’t even like red wine very much. Eventually I guess I must have just gone to bed and passed out. The alarm going off this morning was pure hell – I felt drunk still. I managed to get myself up, washed and out and but felt like I reeked of booze on the train and felt very unsteady walking from station to work. Gosh, how attractive!
Anyhow, there you go – that is the kind of thing that happens to me most weekends. OH does drink but can just have ‘a’ drink and stop – obviously not a talent I have. I think the worse part of my boozing is the hurtful things I can say to my absolutely gorgeous OH – often not remembering and having the horrors and waves of shame when he reminds me. I often feel anxious at work until I have had a chance to chat with him - and if he is happy I relax as it means I can't have been horrid to him the night before. God - writing that down has made me really think about my pathetic behaviour. shameful.
Just wanted to share and I like you lot! Would like to say that this week is going to be AF but we are meeting friends at the pub later – first time we’ve been out in yonks! Will probably have a couple of halves, but rest of week will try and be AF – until Friday…
Phew – sorry for long post on my first ‘go’.
Posie x0
