    Morning all:j
Yay! A Sunny Sunday with no hangover:T.

Kellylea - where on earth do you work that keeps you there til midnight:confused: - and allows blue toenails:rotfl:
Fay - thanks for all your gardening advice. Iwas a self-employed gardener for a while and absolutely loved being out in the fresh air all day. One of my clients had a 200' shrub border, a 50' rose garden and a traditional herb garden to die for..... and as for her greenhouses! (will PM you later x)

40mum - now we have sold our house (and found one to buy yesterday:T) I expect the next few weeks will be one big clear up/out. Hope it doesn't drive me back to drink:rotfl:

    openscreen - WELCOME:j

Wow, can't believe what a good nights sleep I had - 10 hours straight without waking up for a drink of water! Am looking forward to a lazy Sunday. I think I have mentioned before that in this house Sunday is always a day of rest. Nothing planned except pottering in the garden. I have loads of tomato plants and vegetable seedlings to plant out, but will pot them all on in bigger pots so that I can take them with me to the new house. I am gutted to have to leave my vegetable beds especially as they are looking better this year than they have ever done!

If this glorious weather holds, we will fire up the barbie later. No alcohol though as there is none in the house and my rule is 'no shopping' on a Sunday.

Have a good day everyone - will report in for duty this evening.
    x

    Morning Liilibet

Great news on the house . I'm sure you will be so busy over the next few weeks with the house move that you won't even have to time to think about having a drink:T:T

Have a lovely day in the garden.

Morning all - Morning FUAS - full moons bohter me too :)

I don't mean to post random things - it just sort of tumbles out of my brain. (Whoops)

Welcome Openscreen - took alot of us a while to post - so we know how scary it is.

Sleeping - I do find that hard - especially when AF - but have taken to going to bed anyway and reading or taking laptop (naughty I know). Seems to help. Glad you posted and hope you get some more advice from the others.

LB - ignore my garden twitter - but the garden you talked about sounds gorgeous - we have about 1-2 acres here (I can't work it out I am a girl and therefore spacially unaware) I am looking after the place for a chum who moved south and wanted garden maintained. First time I have ever had a glass house and a conservatory of my own. :)

Waves to the rest of you - blinding headache this am - and so thirsty again - wondering what on earth is up.

Scales teetering between 9 4 and 9 5 so I am hoping anohter lb is on its way out. It be lovely to be under 9st again (wistful look in eye!) whilst that sounds outrageous to most folks I am the size of a gnat so any weight gain for me looks like tonnes.

    40SM enjoy day with boys

The rest of you I hope you find something fun to do today.

9 for me - won't be drinking tonight - big deadline and meeting on Tuesday so I am confined to writing today/tonight/tomorrow :)

So tomorrow I will be in double figures - 10 whole days - oh my word.

Waves to the master scorer - not managed yoga yet BB - sorry work is just too scary at the moment :)

I am contemplating making one of our spare rooms a study for me (how decadent would that be to have a room to actually work in) so that might be me being kind to myself??? I normally move between wherever is least noisy. I work hard - the other spare room looks over the garden - maybe I do need to be naughty and take it over????

Ramble over back to the writing :)
PS K - well done on the blue toes - I have purple sparkly toenails under rainbow stripey socks so they are wasted really.

Have a great day FAY. Dinna wurk twa hard :rotfl::rotfl:

Yesterday i spent the day having lunch in the pub and drank diet coke so i was really pleased that i had the will power and support to do that..

Wow, well done on 10 days AF Kelly Lea, especially Diet Coke in the pub - great!

I didn't resist the pub yesterday. Probably on the naughty bench until tomorrow but then will definitely make 3 of the next 4 days AF. hopefully 4/4

    Have a good day everyone.

ETA Well done to price is right and 40SM too - just read your posts and you're doing very well.
Fed up and skint, didn't realise the phase of the moon affected your drinking, that's really interesting. A while ago I read up on some stuff about the moon and lunacy and there seemed to be something in that connection with madness and violence and such like. And now you've mentioned drinking in the same context, interesting.
Fay, hope your headache goes soon.
Shall try and read everything before posting next time.

    Morning all

Thanks for the advice on the garden one and all, spent an hour or 2 out there yesterday cutting stuff down, shall bag it later when I've actually got 2 gloves rather than just the 1 borrowed off the neighbour to protect my poor hand that's been ripped to shreads

Welcome to openscreen, good luck on cutting down/giving up, keep posting :)

Eselt, I am so pleased for you, never mind everyone else trusting you, you sound as though you are starting to get some self-respect and esteem back, good for you :)

Kelly, congrats on all the AF'ness, hope you have a good day at work, what colour are the finger nails?

LD, your house sounds like bliss on a Sunday, just like it used to be 30 years ago, nobody left the house on a Sunday, nothing to leave it for, just chilling, enjoy :)

Fay, good luck with the paperwork you have to do, hope the bells don't toll, I shall be on at you for some advice later, possibly how the hell do I stop hurting all over after yesterdays chopping will be the first question :rotfl: x

40SM, PIR, FUAS et al, have a lovely lovely day, hope it's sunny where you are, it is here, unfortunately perfect garden weather

Stick me down for another please Budge, I think that makes it 8

:hello:Morning everyone, beautiful day here too.

I managed an AF Saturday, totally unheard of for as long as I can remember!! Wine was offered but I stuck to the water. I could only have had a small glass (driving) and wasn't wasting an AF day for that!

    3AF please BB.

Coming week will be hard as target is 4 in a row, but I'm full of optimism.

Welcome Openscreen this is a great thread for cutting down or giving up. Sleep is an issue for me too. Booze knocks me out for a few hours then I wake up feeling yuk and desperate for water. Now I go off to sleep much later but feeling good about myself., so no great improvement in sleep but I prefer the AF nights. Why not try a small target for the rest of the month? I'm sure BB will sort it out she's a star.

Fay, I dream of being 9 5 again. I have at least a couple of stone to lose but at 5ft 9ins it doesn't look too obvious (but it is to me and I hate it.) Plan to do some cooking in a moment and then get out for a good long walk (lapsed on that for last few days).

PIR this thread is my secret too. OH knows I'm cutting down but he just thinks it's all down to my amazing resolve and willpower!:rotfl:

Have a good day everyone. Mx

WBF, we cross posted, morning

That is interesting about the moon!! I don't know if any of you are interested in astronomy but me and my DS are really excited about August this year as at the beginning of the month Mars will be getting closer to the Earth than ever in recorded history, you will be able to watch Mars from the start of the month getting bigger and bigger from around 10pm until 3am. On 27th August at 12.30am it will reach it's closest and will be visible the same as a full moon to the naked eye, how exciting!! It won't happen again until year 2287, so don't miss it - I'll remind you all near the time  god knows what that'll do to people's drinking :rotfl:

ETA: my garden will be sorted by then, so I might have a Mars party :D

EETA (??!): I also won't be drinking so will be able to stay awake for it :rotfl:

Ooh a Mars Party sounds great . Is that where we all sit around eating mars bars, mars ice-cream (yum) and drink mars chocolate milk. Perhaps too much of a good thing - I feel quite sick now:rotfl::rotfl:
