    Good morning everyone

69Chick - well done on last night! At least you weren't feeling sick through over-indulgence in alcohol :p Hope little one is feeling better today and that you all managed to get some sleep.

Budgie - I read that about the Madonna concert too and thought to myself how lucky Jo was. I think Michael Jackson was fantastic and felt extremely sorry for him. I would never have wanted the life he had. Imagine never being able to properly be a child? Perhaps thats why he tried so hard to remain one all his life.

FUAS - you're sounding very positive. Good luck with the interview!

Its a gorgeous sunny day here so am planning a bit of a spring clean. Had my new Dyson delivered recently and I'm in love. How sad is that :o Ever since we were married we have gone through a succession of cheap hoovers. The latest ones hosey thing was done up with duct tape so much it was like hoovering with a stick of liqourice! I eventually lost my temper a couple of weeks ago and ordered a dyson. Only have to pay for it now:eek: but its worth it!:T

Anyway, best be off - haven't even done my "to do" list for this week yet. I'm slacking!:p

    Miss P
    xx

Still 2 days for me, although I just had one pint bottle of perry yesterday while sitting in the garden, so not too bad.

Hi everyone, could I join too please? I have to stop drinking alcohol altogether as I do not like the person I become when drunk and cannot cope with the depression after a "bender" anymore.

    Thanks x

I know that disappointed feeling too, that's how the wine bells sound for me. I find that sort of lack of anticipation harder to deal with than the evening without booze.

Welcome Yipee, loads of help on here.

This is because alcohol is rarely at the root of our problems. Life is the problem, and alcohol was the solution, but then it stop working and created more problems than it solved. Just putting the drink down won't fix life.
If one cannot be happy with alcohol, then that is someone who is unhappy full stop.

I hope that making the decision to be AF today brings you happiness, as it is strong, decisive action, and helps you regain control

Welcome, and if you give this 100%, you should be fine
Just don't drink today. You can go a day without drinking.
Forget about tomorrow, the rest of this week, or later on in the month
You can decide whether to drink or not tomorrow, but for now, just don't pick up that first drink today.
It's the first drink that get's you drunk
