3AF for me now Jo - thank you

Morning everyone. It was quiet on here last night - is that a usual Friday night thing?
Wasn't the tennis exciting, great game to watch.

Am planning on being AF again today, but tomorrow (Sunday) we have friends over for lunch. Ideally I'd like to be AF (using some of the 'excuses' I've read on here before) but not sure yet if I'll be able to. Then I worry that if I drink tomorrow, I won't be able to go back to being AF again on Monday.

Lurkio - did you manage to go back to being AF after your birthday?

Yes :D - Managed Thursday and easier than I thought... yesterday was not AF though..... and I don't think today will be.

In fact, it already looks like I will miss my target this month, due to my social engagements :( shouldn't have been so ambitious......

Let's see how near I can get though :)

:DNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh :D

According to your signature you've done nearly 60% AF of the 6 months so far which is fantastic.

If I can get anywhere near that in the next 6 months I'll be delighted, and also cutting down on days that I do drink. I imagine the summer months might be more difficult for everyone - more social engagements and holidays etc

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Lurkio, why don't you just adjust your target slightly as we are right at the beginning...I know how last month when I was too ambitious I wished I had set a slightly lower level to motivate me more...

Off to the zoo today with the kiddies as family visiting...

Hope you all have a good day

Budgie, hope things are looking up for you x

ps. still on 2af last night had too much :o feeling it a bit today but not too bad....will bed drinking tonight but fingers crossed not tomorrow....

So Lurky, how many AF days you on then? I know we're only at the 4th of the month but I'm confused already

Had to read that ps quite a few times to work out what 'bed drinking' was!!!

I was wondering about Budgie too - having read so many of her wonderful posts over the months, it seems very quiet without her. Is she on hols?

have they really got confirmed cases in your school?
Has your school not been shut down

The swine flu virus has become at 'community level' in London which means that they no longer test for the virus. If you are showing 2 or more symptoms then you are advised to ring your GP to be diagnosed over the phone and arrange for someone to pick up the medication for you. We've been told that no schools will be shut as the virus is now everywhere. We've got 9 kids/staff that are taking tamiflu which is the one used for actual swine flu and around 25 kids/staff on other antibiotics. The first nine are more vulnerable people, ie one is a diabetic, one has cerebal palsy etc..

I think it's got to the point where you can't do anything now but keep up good hygiene with hand washing and cleaning around communal areas.

I'll never forget the boy yesterday though, he was happily taking part in sports day, not a thing wrong with him, by 11am he had a bit of a headache, by 1pm he could barely move and we had to help him get into his mum's car, he even started vomiting. He's been given the tamiflu as he's got so many of the symptoms and so very ill, I hope he's okay :(

Hardly, we're knee deep in swine flu here  kids and staff dropping like flies, just sent one home that looked awful, he was burning up something chronic and didn't have the strength to hold a cold compress to his head.

    Oooeeer

Hopefully will be end of term before it reaches here.
Not AF yesterday as expected so still only one for me Jo.

    Phew is hot already

AN, I was wondering where budge was too. She often doesn't post on a Thursday and is sometimes busy on a Friday but usually would've popped in by now. Where are ya girl  hope you're okay :)

I had a drink last night, I didn't go mad so that was okay. Problem is though I kept it a secret. I think this is half my problem, I now see drinking as a bad thing (which is possibly is in my case). Anyhoo, no more secret drinking days for me.

I'm going to see Madonna tomorrow at the 02 and will have a bottle of beer with my meal before hand and will possibly have 2 during the show, that will probably be it as I have no money.

Then next Friday is a leaving do for the Headteacher at my school, haven't decided yet about drinking then, we'll see. But between now and then there are only 2 possible evenings that I can drink so I must have 5 AF days between now and then.

How is everyone? I'm so busy notching up everyone's AF days it's hard to catch up! God knows how Budge managed such mammoth posts, I reckon her OH thought she'd left him!!

Busy day planned, DD1 is taking DS to a cinema/pizza hut birthday party for me as I have to take DD2 to the hairdressers where we are both having a long overdue hair cut. Mine's not been cut since before xmas and considering the back of my hair was cut to barely an inch long last time, I look like a hippy now :rotfl: DD2's hair is awful, it's very long, has no shape and drives me nuts....so its all coming off!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

Jo, How do you keep it secret ?

If Mrs BHB has even a sip of wine or beer I know she has had it cause you can smell it from feet away
