Hi xx_Jo_xx and welcome  good luck on your first challenge, I have found the support on here so valuable in keeping me motivated...before this thread every day would blur into the next drinking wise and the only af days would be if I was feeling ill or maybe suffering from the stomach I get when I drink every day....its nice to see on the calendar how I am doing and I do what someone else suggested and put a cross on each day I am af...

(only thing with the calendar thing is that dh does it too and if we drink he draws a smiley face on instead ) it should really be the other way round!

I've added you, have you done any AF days yet this month as I've put you down as 0?

Hello All, Can I come to play???

:hello: Hi Jo - of course you can :D Welcome aboard. It helps if you are a little mad
    Best wishes & good luck

Jo (of the 1972 variety;)) Are the last few weeks of school going as slow for you as they are for me  Or is it just cause I'm looking forward to our first holiday in years?

My poor little brain is going to explode - numerous Jo's ... some calling themselves Fay , some not :eek: , I'm only a country bumpkin you know:rotfl:

Not looking forward to work this evening ... too hot and too many biting bugs as we are down in a river valley. They have all appeared in the last couple of days. Don't suppose yo get them in towns so much

Though I suppose there is one advantage of an old solid wall cottage. The living room on the north side is very cool even today.... Though you can't get in it without triping over a dog or 4 :mad:

    Hope everyone is OK.
Not a planned AF day for me, but might surprise her again :D

Hardly, we're knee deep in swine flu here  kids and staff dropping like flies, just sent one home that looked awful, he was burning up something chronic and didn't have the strength to hold a cold compress to his head.

That's bad Jo, have they really got confirmed cases in your school?

  • Evening everybody

3 for me, please Jo. Just been for a quick apple juice in a bar with Mr PIR - can't believe I wasn't even tempted to have a spritzer cos it's not an allowed drinking day! :T

Jo - things sound terrible down at your school. Hope you and your family are OK. This swine flu pandemic is scary. I'm seriously thinking of getting those mask thingies for when we go on holiday to Majorca on a plane - but I'm not sure if they have any effect.

Have a good evening everybody. Shame about Andy Murray.

    Hi Jo

We have not yet got swine flu at our school but our secondary school has 60 confirmed cases . As there are siblings at our school we are on danger alert.

ETA Has your school not been shut down ?. The school mentioned above has been until next Monday at least . Also 2 children from our school who have siblings with swine flu are not allowed to come to our school. Seems the safest option .
