Speak to you all tomorrow, un-hung-over'ed :D

Well done Jo, wish I could say the same this morning. Stayed in but drank anyway - doh. FB, the good news is I found out I have headaches after drinking too, at least if I drink that much I do anyway. So I can't use headaches on AF days as an excuse.

Head back in hands kind of morning for me, feel awful. Nauseous, brain hitting the side of my skull which is never good. And the face in the mirror this morning isn't her loveliest best right now.

Still, can my hangover serve anyone today as a bad example - don't be like me kids, it hurts!

Mrs BHB was on it for a while and it made her very up and down with suicidal thoughts, especially when coming off it.

Might help put things in perspective and explain the 'unwanted' thoughts.

    Best Wishes

  • Morning everybody

Please put me down for 5 AFDs so far. Feeling a lot better than I did yesterday after the wine blip. And we all feel more positive when it's sunny :j Determined not to let any more family squabbles drive me to drink this weekend - we'll see. Doesn't help that the AS levels and end of year exams are all with us next week, so the 3 DDs are even more stressed than usual!!!! I'll make nice things to eat to calm them - choclit cake ... that should glue things together ...

Morning everyone, especially lillibet. Glad you got through it. It all passes eventually, i know you know that. Everything passes.

i am off work today so taking my kudzu NOW. Too easy to drink at home and I have done so well so far though still woke up with a terrible headache and stiffness ...and nightmares all night still. It really is the demon (lack of) drink.
    See you all later. x

Sorry to hear you are feeling crap WBF, I know the feeling well.

Although I must say I am feeling quite smug this morning after listening to OH on the phone last night saying he'd 'only had 2 pints'. He got in at around 12.30am after going to the pub 12 hours earlier apparently, I didn't hear him come in but DD1 did. He fell up the steps and banged around. Found him fully dressed on the sofa this morning when I got up, I could smell the alcohol fumes up the hall before I even entered the room, that must be what I smelt like   he looked puffy and pretty ill.

I'm not smug about you lot being ill though :A, just him :D:D

I'm knowing that feeling and I've only got 1!!!

It's her last day today, everything's gotta be handed in....thought something was odd when she was in her bedroom working at 6.45am and not sleeping :rotfl:

Thanks Mollypolly, Thought I'd post earlier when I felt rubbish so I can read it back some time when I'm wavering. Reporting back now that my hangover is easing and my head doesn't have it's very own hammers inside.
PIR, I'm dead envious of your sunshine, it's miserable weather here today, windy and raining at the mo. Hopefully it's going to brighten up later. Good luck with the pre-exam stress. MMMM chocklit cake! Can you squish some onto here for us through the keyboard?
Noy noy well done on your healthy run of being good - caffeine too, very brave. I find Day 3 the hardest. Then Day 4 is easier for some reason. I've only managed days 5, 6 & 7 once in many years and that was thanks to finding this thread last Autumn so not sure I'm qualified to comment after Day 4!
Jo, please feel free to be smug at me feeling ill, it is self inflicted and I deserve it. Your post has bought a smile to my face which is no mean achievement today!! Know what you mean about the smell of booze too, have to remember that.

Further to my earlier post above, I just rung OH to arrange the kids pick up tonight and was amazed that he was actually at work!! His work partner left his entire belongings in the pub last night cos he was busy doing karaoke elsewhere in the pub, pub have not found anything there  They both are very very rough, which made me smile ;)
