Hello, sorry I disappeared but got lost in a tide of everyday life. Just been really busy and I've tried to read and catch up a bit now.

So Budgie, I am actually on 5 AFDs now (I think).

Fay, yes you are right, I think flatus is greatly reduced with less alcohol, and my gut specialist told me that alcohol was one of the things your gut was very sensitive too, particularly with transit times and faecal consistency (sorry if you're eating tea:o).

So definately less farting in the pK household at the moment!

HAve a great evening folks - I'm doing classic Friday - pizza, wine, movie, sofa. Am pooped after the week and need a break.

I noticed less trumpity trump trumps too with less alcohol too!!!! Much less from me now!!!:j:D:o:eek::D

Wel it's Friday night and I'm off to have a bit of a boring tea and several large glasses of squash and water. Better get used to it as I think when I see the Dr next week they might tell me to cut alcohol out all together to see if I have acne roseacea or not.

Have a good evening everyone, cutter downers and abstainers and will pop back later with a mug of hot choccie to see how everyone is :D

Just shows what the demon drink can do Jo

My other target for May is to lose half a stone. I didn't really get going on it until Tues 5th, but in the 3 days I have been trying I have lost 2lbs :j:D Got another 23 days in May, so should hopefully manage the other 5lbs :D

Well done on the 2lbs fluffybishop. I also want to lose half a stone but seem to be picking at things a bit more because I am not drinking:eek:
Hopefully my body will go into shock mode with the lack of wine entering it that it will actually shrink:T

    Well done Fay :D

Have you got a Wii Fit, I think it's an amazing way of keeping an eye on your weight and losing it with excerise.

    Hi Jo

Is the wii fit anygood ? I have been contemplating getting one but am worried that it will end up in the garage alongside the stepper, swiss ball, etc etc.

    Afternoon
Joined the milk thistle brigade *BOGOF at superdrug £3.42* and actually lost count of AF days, feel a tinsy bit smug. 12 including tonight.

I suffer mild psoriasis and there is a remarkable difference already. Probably a mixture of AF, diet change and milk thistle.

    DC

I also suffer from mild psoriasis( Mainly scalp) and i can also see an improvement . :T

BB - I am on 7 just updated sig

OK just to lower the tone

With less drinking has anyone noticed less farting?

I am - finding this hysterical as I have tried for years to pin down the source of the evil pumping and constant gurgling tummy I have. Trying to omit so many different foods.

    Turns out it was alcohol.......................whoops.

I am now fart friendlier as well as being AF .....:) - which means less methane which is a far worse green house gas than CO2 so we are also saving the planet with our AFD's

In real life I am just as uncouth. :)

Fay I think you should win the prize this month as you are now totally environmenally friendly and your lack of farts may well save the planet :rotfl:

BB - Fay gets my vote .:T

    Evening all

Well I originally signed on to say that I really wanted a glass of wine but I have spent the last 1/2 hr or so reading and laughing at all your posts and now I feel much better so hopefully I will survive without the drink for another night .

Thanks guys you really do keep me going .

  • Jo, did your OH's colleague get his stuff back from the pub? Been worrying me all day - can't stand the thought of people losing possessions, so obsessed with money saving ....

Working on project tonight so won't be tempted to drink.

Hope everybody doing well, either AF or cutting down. Hope LB is OK now.
