    Evening all

Firstly, Jo...how adorable is DD2!!?! She is soo cute!!! Well done on getting through last night.

I'm afraid I haven't been ignoring those wine bells. Not AF last night and won't be tonight. Keeping it to sensible levels though. Been feeling a bit low the last couple of days. Came to a head today when OH got funny about me going out with friends for a meal next Saturday. Had a blazing row in the car (well, ME shouting and him staying quiet...he doesn't argue!). Since then feel bit brighter but still annoyed with him and his possesiveness. He will always be like it (long story) so I have to get used to it as I love him dearly and know its because he's insecure. Hard sometimes though.........

On the good side...OH, me and Piglet made cakes today! If I can figure out how to put photos in a post I'll put one up here. God help you..

Anyway, best go and sort dinner. ((Hugs)) to all who need them

    Miss P
    xx

I'm so pleased to have not drunk last night, if I was hungover there is little or no chance of DD2 getting the chance to go to football club, it's hard enough getting DS up and ready to go but taking the 2 of em with a hangover wouldn't have happened. So I've posted this picture to give me encouragement to remember to stay sober for my kids :)

Jo....Well done...I am so proud of you.....As Fay says...This says it all.
Your DD2 is gorgeous. This is why you need to do this.
    Good luck.

    Hi everyone.
Hope you are having a lovely evening.
Just been to the pub with both DD1 and DD2.They both brought along new boyfriends and are all very much in love.Ahhhhhhhhh.
I have drunk copious amounts of diet coke....
Anyway DD2 asked me to get out old videos of weddings so just been having a quick look and shed a few tears:o.Where do the years go.
DD1 is now 34 and DD2 is 25.I was looking at my sisters wedding 23 years ago.My children were so sweet(still are really:D) and my dear dad was still with us.It makes lovely viewing.
So I say to all of you...if you have little ones make the most of them. They grow up far too quickly.

    Have a lovely evening all.
I hope you are where you want to be.
    Take care of you

  • Blimey, I have tears in my eyes reading these posts :A

Put me down for 1 AF day please 40sm :D I kept myself busy last night. Kids went to bed later than normal, I had phonecalls to make. I had Sky+ the last episode of Brothers & Sisters so had that to watch. I had bought one bottle of wine with my online shop but am trying VERY hard to budget, so wanted to keep it for Sat/Sun. I didn't sleep very well though. Had this absolutely horrible dream that I was dying and DH was trying to convince me to end it all quick by drinking some potion he had made up. It really disturbed me!

Ann~I have ruined so many good relationships, I won't go into detail. The ones I let walk away OMG! But I did end up with a wonderful DH (although we've had our troubles) It's always my fault. When I drink I don't realise when he is trying hard to make us work. I don't give him anything back, emotionally or physically and it's not right. Think hard about what you really want ((((hugs)))

Jo~glad you made it. Kids! Mine are 4 and 2 and they are what keep me going. My world would stop without them.

I read some of the posts a few pages back and don't relate to some of them. Even though I know most definitely that I drink too much. I never drink to get drunk. I'm the girl at the end of the night that is drinking water  And yet I find it hard to go a day without a glass of wine. Habitual? Problem? I always go down the road of problem because my dad died an alcoholic and I always assume that it's genetic. Or maybe I'm just following a pattern because alcohol was prevelent in my childhood.

I don't think anyone, even an expert, could give me a definitive answer.

    X
    Need to start again :o

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
hi All. and 40sm please put me down for 18AF. Am on target and had 2 ad's this month. I had a boring day today so felt i wanted and deserved a a drink tonight. I had a very stressful time in the cricket club last night, was only there for 15 mins, didnt have a drink, every1 was drinking! I was cool with that and knew i didnt want to. But the last time I drank in public i embarrassed myself by being too drunk (anti-histamine tab didnt help!) at a friends surprise 40th, which I actually gatecrashed but if someone I knew walked past my party I'd want them to come in. I did ask the host and she said it was ok, but i ended up drinking 3 large glasses of wine on top of 3 pints and was escorted to the door. Anyway this girl was in cricket club last night, she looked and said "hello". goodness sake this happened in the first bank holiday in May! She's normally really chatty so it was obvious she wasn't going to elaborate on hi and was cold towards me!

I didnt go down the road of self destruct but got up and sorted 4 kids out (sleepovas again)! had no food in the house - but did find eggs and flour - so did 12 pancakes with all the trimmings and the kids loved it! Did a bit meditation today but was desperate for a hot bath, wine and magazine which is my fav thing so I did indulge as I figured stress had not brought me to it and it's well within my allowance!

Since i've stopped drinking i've had time to think, i think over the years its made me quite selfish and short tempered. I love my sleep and am busy until I go to bed but it's saturday night (even though i said I would wait until my birthday) I'm not going to give myself a hard time cos am enjoying this and not using it as a reward. This is saturday and its not escapism and I wont have any tomorrow.

hope eveyone is okay and reading and enjoying their weekend X
