Well done Jo :T thought you might have caved last night, I kept checking in to see if you had posted x
Annberlin I can really understand where you are coming from, I had a similar relationship once and I was like you when I drank and would think of all the times I had been deceived and let down and the worst bit was the feeling of being taken for a mug! sort of worse than the actual affair(s)..Only you know if your relationship is worth holding on to but maybe you could try to get the drinking sorted first (and you probably do need to see your gp for a bit of help if you are drinking a lot) and then see how that leaves things....Good Luck hun xxxJun GC £250.00/£12.40 NSD 3 / 30

Here's a picture of DD2 in action, it was tense stuff, I'm sure you can tell from the photo just by the way the other little boy is thinking about tackling the ball
I'm so pleased to have not drunk last night, if I was hungover there is little or no chance of DD2 getting the chance to go to football club, it's hard enough getting DS up and ready to go but taking the 2 of em with a hangover wouldn't have happened. So I've posted this picture to give me encouragement to remember to stay sober for my kidsDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
BHB, how was your prescribed beer, did you stick to within your allowance? x
Got 4 cans of stella to spread over Friday and Saturday nights.
Had three last night so one left for tonight. Started the 3rd last night and realised I didn't really want it but foolishly drank it anyway.
Have come to the conclusion that one 660ml bottle of Cobra each night would have been a better idea and would have felt better about it before and after.
Still - will now for next time ! But have stayed within what I have planned, guess that was good anyway.
xx

DD2 is sooo cute. I am definitely climbing back on the wagon with you tonight . I am still feeling a tad queezy (sp?) after last night's nottle of wine.... although that has sometimes not stopped me in the past;).
Hope you enjoy the birthday celebrations. Have a lovely day.
Catch you later.

Hi all- aawwww Jo, your kids are so cute- just imagine getting up and doing the football thing with a hangover, well done you, proud of you.
Annberlin- sounds like you are right in the middle of a crisis here. The way I see it there are three possible outcomes here:
1) Forgive him,get over it and stay together
2) Don't forgive him and get rid of him
3) Stay in this horrible limbo which triggers you to drink and feel depressed.
You won't be able to make a decision fuelled and fogged by drink, in fact the self pity and anger will kick in, possibly get all out of proportion and make the whole situation worse. Tough decisions call for clear heads and a rational approach- highly charged drunken showdowns inevitably end up causing more damage than they fix. Take care-hugs.
BHB- well done on the restraint, the eyes of this thread are watching you closely and thinking, 'can there really be such a thing as a heavy drinker becoming a moderate drinker'- I can feel all the cutter downers willing you on!!!!
Best of luck to everyone today- bit squawly here today, but gonna risk the park in a mo.0 -

I'm not sure that I actually considered myself as a heavy drinker, as such. Not sure what the 'cut off' is, unless its the 21 units for a bloke? I considered myself to be in trouble as I 'needed' the beer every day.
Most I ever really had (except odd occasions) was 4 cans stella a night, so 8 units. Which I guess is heavy if you then do it every day.
However, I now feel that I don't want or need to drink every night and am fairly confident of being able to keep under 21 units a week and being able to not drink every day, especially during the week.
I think the plan for me now, after this weeks experience, is to aim for 3 or 4 big (0.66L) bottles of beer a week and loads of fizzy water, Total around 13.5 units. Fingers and legs crossed that I can keep to that.
I do have to say that last night I didn't really enjoy 3 cans of stella as much as I enjoyed one bottle of cobra during the week
Though in my opinion Stella has something odd about it that makes it much harder to stop once you have started drinking it ?? Not sure what it is. Note to self .....
It's nice to have people willing me on thoughThanks peeps

Hi all
Jo - SO CUTE!!!!! I'm doing this drastically cutting down challenge for my children too. I need so much energy to be able to cope with my 3!! And thanks for the wise words. :j
BHB - well done on your restraint.
AnnBerlin - been there myself too, many years ago. But like I said to FUAS last week, I wish I'd made my decisions without the 'help' of wine.
Must get on - played tennis this am, my tennis is really improving, I don't know if it's a coincidence that I haven't had any alcohol since a week last Thursday?
Have good day everybody
