Jo and Nettie, I have just one thing to say to you: Wow! Well done! You both are an absolute inspiration. Keep up the good work. You both seem like amazing people, you don't need to mess about with the demon alcohol! :T

I don't think I'm inspirational, but thanks so much for saying so :) it's taken 16 years to get to this point and a hell of a lot of faffing over the past 3 years, giving up, starting again, giving up etc etc. It's very early days and I must NEVER become complacent. Hope you're feeling okay today and enjoyed your evening :)

    Gotta go

    xx

Morning all ! Another enforced AF night -due to work;) Tonight the real challenge begins as I often like to drink on my first night off especially-send me good vibes, please!
Well done to those managing to abstain, you are all doing so well. Especially you, Jo, I have been following your battle and keep strong:j
Also,in response to your query ,Jo, as to how I manage on little sleep(usually 4 hours!) is that I DON'T!! I have been doing nights the guts of 20 years and it has taken a big toll on my health ,more so the older I get- I am obese, depressed, have high blood pressure and an alcohol issue...a walking time bomb:rotfl:But quite nice with it,lol! How do you feel about shiftwork,Yellowmonkey? Harder than it used to be or are you OK with it?

Off to bed now,so I will catch you all later!xx

Another quickie as loads and loads to do...I am on 7 af days now am managing to get myself through the bells at the moment, am planning on af tonight and then tomorrow me and ds are flying to London to stay with my family for a couple of nights (my nephews birthday party and bridal shopping with my sister) My mum is quite a drinker and no doubt will have wine in for when I arrive at 7pm tomorrow  the other thing is I usually have a drink before I get on a plane (calms the nerves) so If I do that I will probably have a few at Mums, however we are looking after my 6 week old niece overnight so if I can manage the plane bit I think I can manage to stear clear at my mums...

Sat will be a drinky day as it is my nephews party and we are having a family barbecue in the evening...my main aim here is to stay af till at least later on and join in with the kids as normally I would be walking around drink in hand avoiding them lol!!

sorry was meant to be quick!! sorry usual waffle

Good luck WBF will be thinking of you xxx

WBF - everything is crossed for you!!

I'm not having a good morning. Tripped over loose slab on our garden path and went flying. Did a very ungainly fall (a la sack of spuds!!) onto the concrete. Now both my hands hurt...winge winge....

Did look around...am pretty sure no-one saw me, thank God!!!

Text OH asking him to sort it this weekend and he text back saying I should get in touch with SIL (She and my brother own our house) to get someone in to fix it! Lazy git! Not happy with HIM at the moment....how hard is it to lob a bit of concrete in!?

    Anyway....I'll stop moaning.....

    Miss P
    xx
