Hi. Am home and in bed. I'm too drunk to drive but apart from that I think I'm ok. I made a real effort tonight, drank slowly, kept topping up glass with soda water but I think I was no less or no more drunk than everybody else. I really think it affects me more.

Jo and Nettie, I have just one thing to say to you: Wow! Well done! You both are an absolute inspiration. Keep up the good work. You both seem like amazing people, you don't need to mess about with the demon alcohol! :T

Glad everyone is doing so well. I decided to drink last night. Probably a bottle of wine. Errm. Embarrassed cough. Have now been awake for a couple of hours and remembering that familiar nauseous feeling and how much it interrupts sleep. Also I am quite excited about the job news tomorrow so feeling quite awake at the moment although I'm sure I'll regret it tomorrow.

On the plus side for alcohol I don't get the skin tingly thing and went to sleep (passed out!) more quickly.

On the minus side woke up feeling sick and yuk. Hope everyone else is sleeping blissfully!

was looking for some inspiring lyrics but couldn't settle on anything in particular...so it will just have to be a few words of encouragement.

June 2007 saw me hit the bottom and because I couldn't see or believe there was a way out, it was horrible and just easier to continue....it turns out that medically I was wrong to stop in the way I did...absolutely, with no medical help.

Taking the steps to make it better was one of the hardest things I'v e ever done as it meant facing up to a heck of a lot of stuff and making the changes that had to be made. IT turns out that addressing those things really the tough part...and admitting/realising that I had to stop drinking as it really was not helping.

So, 2 years on and I'm happy to say that it really is getting easier..."it" will probably never be gone but I can live with that.

    constant vigilance....always.
For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 2007

Still on 4 for me as I had a glass of red wine last night. Loads better than 10 cans of lager that I normally have :D

Hope you all have a great day
