Just did a big post and lost it :mad:

and need to get sorted for the apprentice....

PIR Spooky but I also forgot to get the chicken out of the freezer last night so we ended up with chicken pie (was scrummy though)

The party went well apart from me drinking too much wine and feeling rough this morning.....I was plannin on it being a drinking day so thats ok but I seemd to be drunk quite quickly last night (didn't help that my first few drinks were on an empty stomach....I even got that spinny feeling that I used to get years ago  and was talking to someone at the time and had to really try hard to not fall down or something

BB Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly, hope you get a good nights sleep hun and are feeling more yourself tomorrow - hugs xxxxx

40sm can you put me down as 5 days af now.. and thanks for doing such a great job your a star :T

WBF love the bar joke x

JO hope you are feeling better now that you found your peeler and you are doing amazing 7 days af now :T I think it would be a good idea for you to talk to your doc about your concerns about your oh...are you still seeing that good one?

Fay - sorry to hear of your sibling probs 'you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family' says it all really..

Went to a nice pub today as dh did a bike ride with ds and me and the girls met up with them (with other friends) I was feeling fine by then (after last night) but was completely happy with my lime and soda, even though before I would have automatically gone for lager or something I wouldn't even taste dh's 'fruit beer' as I said my af day wouldnt count :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a good evening all and hugs to all who need one.....

Hi everyone. I hope you're all ok. I needed to come on here tonight as I had the "bells" ringing. (Funny, I'd never even heard of them until yesterday but I know the feeling very well!) I've been away for a few days with work so came home to a pile of post. One letter from the tax man saying my appeal was successful and I wouldn't have to pay a surcharge of £72 for underpaying 14p. Hurrah! Finally I'm getting a financial break. Then I opened another letter saying my tenants are moving out next month. I'm barely managing as it is so AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH! Of course, I wanted to run into the nearest bottle of wine. But I've logged on and read through all you're lovely, supportive posts and I've realised that a drink wouldn't actually help. It sounds so stupid but this is actually a revelation to me. Actually, revelation is the wrong word as I've always known drink wouldn't help in the long-term but, damn, it can make you feel better right now! So here I am with my camomile tea feeling a bit calmer.

This thread is so wonderful. I would never have imagined finding something like this on this site. I guess debt or financial worries and drinking are quite closely linked.

Hi to those of you I'm getting to know. Jo, I hope you're feeling a bit better now you've got your peeler back. I'm impressed with Budgie's power. Wow! Even when you're feeling poorly Budgie, you're so nice. Hi to Lurky too.

A big hello and thanks as ever to 40SM for an amazing job. Can you update me to 5 AFDs please? Thanks.

That's enough ramblings for now. It feels good to get stuff off your chest doesn't it?

Goodnight everyone. Good luck for tomorrow.

One potato peeler two potato peeler? ;) :rotfl::rotfl:Don't worry I have not been drinking, I have taken your advice and have my duvet on the sofa after just watching The Apprentice. Not done anything today and missed the gym, still can't manage that with no energy. Hugs Sweetheart and I do hope you are ok? Budgie does worry about our darling Jo. ((())) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Annie D glad to hear you are ok sweetheart, I am fine thanks just very weary, with a headache etc. Feeling a bit pooey but hey ho. Just need sometime off work really, I am off at the end of the month and I can't wait. Mr BB is still out of work and its 8 months now so getting him down too. Still there are many people in a much worse position than we are. Have a fab week and take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hopeful you are a sweetheart and well done on not going for that bottle of wine :T As Gc has said before there are always going to be triggers, you have proved you can control these so very well done. Things will improve and you must hold onto that thought, and when you do feel like drinking it is good to log on and read back over the thread and the old ones too. We are all here to help each other and I am glad that you feel posting on here is helping you in such a positive way. Take care and lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Orchid it is such a pain when you lose a long post, it happened to me when I was in charge to the scoring, I had come in from work and been typing for ages and then lost the lot  To be honest I felt like crying which is silly but it is frustrating. Glad you have had a nice day today and I hope that you have a lovely week. Take care and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ra hi matey and hope your weekend has been good? Take care and when you can, please drop us a post on how you are and what is happening in your life. I hope all is well and things are going well for you? ((())) hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Pricey hugs sweetheart and lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Molly Polly you are always up late, hope you are ok and that you have had a nice weekend? Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fay hope you are ok sweetheart, sometimes we need some quiet time. Least where you live you have some lovely walks and the sea, Oh we all know how Budgie likes the sea. (One fine day and all that). Lots of love sweetheart and look after yourself. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ok hugs to everyone else and I am off to bed now as work in the morning. (Yuk). Had an email from my old boss tonight, he's a lovely guy but got made redundant last year. He's just been given a weeks notice on Friday in his new job. Its such a shame, he is lovely. I hope he will be ok?

    Nite nite and God bless.

    Hi Molly Polly,

Yes I am still af, to be honest I have not gone for: The Full Monty this month as I have proved a point to myself so far, and I have time off work later this month.

HOWEVER I don't feel like drinking and I would just feel so naughty if I bought any wine. I guess because I have been telling myself it is bad for me I now believe this to be 100% true.

To be honest I am confused  I shall see how I go? Strange though to say the least.

But glad you are ok and bless him that Bhb is still chasing you. :T

Have a great week in our home town, if you are? ;)

    God bless sweetheart

Yes Budgie ...so glad he has started again....for a few weeks last year he was days in front of me......maybe he'll overtake me again if we let him have extra days in his months:D as he requested:rolleyes:

Well done you on convincing yourself that alcohol is bad for you.If you can do without it completely then good for you....it really doesn't have any benefits that I miss.

    Good luck from the Potteries:D
