Just read your post before I get my pud. Netttie love, take your coat off and make a cup of tea or cawfie. Take a little time to think it over (sing it!) bet you're not to bothered after a cuppa. It's workedfor me plenty of times. Then as Jo said, think how proud you will feel tomorrow when you wake up and realise you had an AF Friday!

Take care my dear and ignore my words if you like!

Glad to hear you sounding brighter again, Fedupski.

Miss P - thanks for Trekkie film recommendation, will try to see it this weekend.

Dull dull dull day at work, glad to be home. The weekend - hurrah! 2 days of freedom that I don't want to drink away. Am on rations as I don't trust myself - have bought a 25ml bottle of wine. When it's gone it's gone! Feel very relieved that there's no more than that in the house.

xx

PS Anyone else really really scared of the Wednesday Adams lookey-likey kid on 'Enders??!

I've done my farming (sorry only a facebook farmer!) and yes I keep thinking I'll feel better tomorrow; I just feel bored now. However, I'll gonna stick kettle on and have me a brew! And make a fruit salad for tomorrow and cook the chicken livers for the dog; see I can do things whilst the washing is washing - instead of sit and drink :eek::eek::eek:

thanks guys/gals x
• Love the picture of Reg :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Can't believe that all the girls (I mean clippies) used to fancy Jack!!! :rotfl::rotfl:Showing my age, I know

Anyway, another AFD for me today. I'm collecting DD2 from a friend's house (a friend who is a boy and they are both 15 oh dear) so can't drink even though the wine bells were clanging - I've silenced the with several chocci biccis - yum.

I told Mr PIR the 'one for the road' joke today - he is really impressed with my jokes now :j

Lovely to hear from you, BB, exams well on their way to finishing now - 2 more AS exams to go, part of French GCSE and part of science GCSE, all Year 8 exams finished ... phewwwww

Have a good evening everybody x

ok folks..... I'm gonna be (semi) serious for a moment

Are you fed up of the bells ringing?
sore knees from falling off the wagon?

Well, hopefully, help is at hand. Dr Lurky McQuack has a plan.....

I am of the opinion that the method I used to stop smoking would work just as well for drinking..... I don't think I can publish it here, I would be breaking some MSE law and be banished to Discussion Time for 6 months hard arguing :rotfl:

But should anyone be interested, I will let you know how I changed my attitude to smoking and could change the way you look at alcohol. It won't work for all, may not work for any, but it won't do any harm......

PM me for details :)

There - done. This IS a genuine technique.... and I hope it helps whoever may be interested....

BAR ROOM TRANSLATIONS
1. "You get this round and the next round is on me."
(I'll be leaving before the next round.)

2. "I'll get this round and the next one is on you."
(Happy hour is about to end. Beers are now a dollar, but by the next round they'll be $3.50.)

3. "Hey, where is that friend of yours?"
(I have no interest in talking to you except as a way to get your attractive friend into a compromising position.)

4. "Can I get a glass of white zinfandel." (female)
(I'm easy.)

5. "Can I get a glass of white zinfandel." (male)
(I'm gay.)

6. "Ever try a body shot?" (male to female)
(I am even willing to drink tequila if it means that I get to lick you.)

7. "Ever try a body shot?" (female to male)
(If this is how wild I am in the bar, imagine what I'll do to you on the ride home?)

8. "I don't feel well, let's go home." (female)
(You are paying more attention to your friends than me.)

9. I don't feel well, let's go home." (male)
(I'm horny.)

10. "Who's got the next round?"
(I haven't bought a round in almost 3 years, but I am an expert at diverting attention.)

I'm quite partial to white zinfandel.:D

I'm about to get into bed now.:o My bath was lovely really relaxing.

I hope everyone is okay.:A

It could be the turning point for many and also if we have some lurkers who would also like to try it as well? :)
