*whispers, cos of the hangovers :D* Morning all

Edited to Add: took so long to type this message, it's now afternoon, so:

*whispers, cos of the hangovers :D* Afternoon all

What a beautiful sunny day :D

The last day of May and a brand new sparkly shiny month is with us tomorrow, who was it that posted that poem a week or so ago about the future being untarnished, nothing has been ruined yet, at the moment June is a perfect month, ready to be filled with whatever we want to fill it with. We need to make sure we choose to not fill it with carp feelings caused by doing things we don't really want to do but do anyway, this advice is for the quitters.....if you're a cutter downer, chances are you might feel some carpness at some point in June, in this case, be prepared and stock up the Resolve :D:D

Sea, how are you feeling today? Are there any meetings round your way today? xx

Congrats PIR for a successful month :D

Orchid, I thought the same about the giant whoopsie too, we must be as young as each other ;)

DC, sorry to scare you over the Dot Cotton thing :rotfl:

115k, your mind is filth  and you know what, I am that sweet and innocent that I didn't put any other meaning to that sentence till it came out of your mouth (well off your keyboard, ykwim )  (and BHB, you should know better too :naughty::naughty:)

Mackeroo, congrats on your 7 days AF :)

FUAS, congrats on day 24 and deciding to make June AF :T:T:T

LD, 4 days is 4 days you probably wouldn't of had AF if you hadn't started posting on this thread, good luck for June and don't be a stranger :)

Sparky, good luck for June, post on here and let us know how you're doing :)

WBF, I said the other night that it's the anticipation that's the good bit about drinking, not the actual drinking it.....didn't you believe me?? Hope you're feeling okay today :)

Miss P, sorry you missed out on the car boot, bit hot to be sitting in a field in my opinion, so back to bed with tea and toast was the best bet anyways, hungover or not :rotfl: good luck for June, and I'm so pleased you have a supportive OH, hope lil P is okay?

Lurks, good luck for hitting your target tonight and getting a jumpy....that alone should keep you AF ......Lurky doing a personals post   that I would love to see!!

BHB, good luck with the outlaws, poor you.... good for you feeding them veggies :rotfl: have a lovely afternoon :)

Thank god I got back on the wagon last night after my mulligan, 2 days in a row would've wrecked my 8 days sober completely, I think the wagon would've driven off to far away for me to catch it if I'd drunk 2 nights in a row.

Got lots planned today, shopping, washing, cleaning the kids , then this arvo when the bell tolls I've planned to do some gardening and if I can borrow an extension lead from my neighbour I want to vacuum the car

Got a roast pork dinner and going to buy some choklit for afties :D

Hope you all have a lovely sunny AF day

    xx

Just realised that a few of us had major and minor wobbles last night - it must be the hot weather. We Brits are just not used to hot sun.

Well it's hot today too - NO EXCUSE - we'll just have to get used to it

Apparently we're gonna have a really really hot summer

    Let's stay

    Morning all

BB - please update my AFD to 19 please. Still feeling a bit off colour today but hopefully will better tomorrow as I MUST go to work tomorrow.

I too , often try to imagine what you all look like . I have these images in my mind of what you all look but they are probably all wrong. When I first read your earlier post BB - I thought you were going to say that you looked like the bloke from mud :rotfl::rotfl: - definetly not what I imagined then I read further AAWWH. My brain is like mince at the moment - what more can I say ???

So who do you all look like then ? Or who of the telly do you imagine we look like ?

My DH says I have a passing resemblance to someone currently on the telly . Who do you all think it is ? . And its not Susan Boyle.

Tough afternoon for me. The outlaws are over for a bbq, they normally bring a shed full of bottles. I very nearly caved last night and thought about having a couple of beers, but managed to steer clear in the end.
    Fingers crossed for later.

Do they know you've quit drinking? I think this is a very dangerous scenario Andy, the sun will be out, barbie on etc etc... you will obviously be tempted, as would any one of us. You can not allow yourself to be tempted so must remove the temptation. Tell them you dont drink anymore and to leave it at home, or in the car. They should support you and not drink either, if they feel they have to and can't wait a couple of hours to drink then they've got a problem too!! Have a word with Mrs BHB and see if she can get them onside with this.

Just my personal opinion obviously, but I'm worried about you for this arvo :) xx

Still... I'm getting my own back. They are really big meat eaters, so we've done them a load of veggie stuff :D.

    Have a good one everyone

From me too! - we'll soooo nag you this afternoon!

There are about 1000 posts since I was here Friday, so many I can't pick up on all the issues, but gosh there's been some stuff going on. I know I promised to not be here til tomorrow :D but came home cos I have 2 cacti bursting in to HUGE flowers at the same time, a total of 7 blooms which exceeds the previous record of 2 - they go from bud to full bloom in about 30 mins it's amazing. Sound like a dumb reason for coming home? didn't want to miss it. also my patio veggie patch needs watering. am not af today which was "planned" but trying to limit it so don't feel carp tomorrow; there are 2 blokes painting the outside of my house & their milk is in the fridge so am in sorry position of hiding my bottle of chardonnay in case they pop in for a cuppa.

I will love this weather once I get acclimatised - bit of a shock to the system at the mo! Jo love your post about a new month to fill with whatever we like. I have shoe-horned myself into a pair of shorts as it's so hot but let's just say the result is not pretty. Goodness knows what I'll wear to work, my duvet cover perhaps?

Miss P my OH has suffered this weekend as well......

115K & Sea am fascinated ref the AA, I am unable to get to meetings, nobody to have dd that often, I rang once to ask if you could have a "phone buddy" but found them quite unfriendly over the phone....go to meetings or nothing. Sea keep at it.

This is an all-over-the-place rubbish post!!

40sm pls put me down for 10 afds june, hope you're better.

What a lovely sunny weekend - to be filled with utter carpness, am feeling v v bad! had some vodka last night only got a small bottle - had a couple then got terribly frightened in case it wasnt enough so half way through BGT I went to shop for some wine! finished the vodka then knew i needed to finish the wine as didnt want to drink again. Must have gone upstairs to the wee shop and then to bedfordshire! woke up earlish a little thirsty - so decided the rest of the wine would be good with soda water at 9.30 sat in the sun!! I then v nearly went to coop for some more wine but have resisted the temptation! Instead I made DS1 andmyself some pasta and had a strong black coffee and lots of water.

Am feeling annoyed that i've wasted a weekend, am totally skint as well and feeling v fat that i dont want to go out. I even borrowed money off DS for the wine!

    Roll on June.

    hi

thanks for the support last night. I woke up in a bit of a state today and realised that I am an alcoholic. I almost felt relief at admitting to myself that I am - I didn't believe I was at all.

Went to a lunchtime meeting today - it was really good, another woman had a word with me about not sharing personal details and stuff, which of course I'd already done so need to watch that. It really supported me today and I feel definite hope that perhaps I can do this.

So I'm not going to set a target for June - the idea of going without a drink scares me, so I'll stick to a day at a time for now.

    Big hugs all
