I'm new here, as you can probably gather .. but hoped I could maybe join in the little shindig you've got going on. I'm very impressed by the amount of no-alcohol days being racked up .. let me in on the secret!

I drink daily, and I drink far too much. I'd love to save some money (I'd guess I spend about £300 a month on it), but I'd happily settle for saving my sanity (which is technically free, of course, but worth more than money!).

I'd love to spend a whole 30 days in June going without .. but that won't happen. If I manage 20, though, I'll be a very happy bunny!

Hi all- sorry I haven't been around but the weather has been so brilliant I can't justify staying in!!!

Jo- OMG, your little one is so adorable, love the hair, hes so cute!!!

Sea- congrats on going to the meetings, brave decision, but brave times are needed I'm afraid.Please stop beating yourself up about stuff, its all part of the disease, as Bis says, like yourself (theres nothing about you not to like?), forgive yourself (hard to do, but it'll come) and congratulate yourself on getting and accessing some help- its not easy, big steps, but several of us have been there and I take my hat off to you you are trying to change. AF is a good place to be- I recommend it. Take care.

TPIS- take care with a tense household, hope things have settled now (hugs).

Lurkio- love the hair posts, when I'm feeling really !!!!!y ( which is quite a lot TBH), I remind my DS1 dad's girlfriend that theres no jelousy there because I had him when he had hair, which is much better than having him now he hasn't!!! Such a pity, he used to have black straight hair past his waist- when we went to castle donnington one year laods of girls thought he was tommy lee!!!

Thanks for scoring budgie- can I vote for Jo this month? The girl never gives up- shes an inspiration. Cheers all.

When I was (quite a bit) more overweight than now someone told me I looked like Vanessa Feltz! I think it was one of the most insulting things anyone has ever said to me!:eek:
